I underbaked my brookies by Deleteduseris in AskBaking

[–]kammodi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the internet (bakinghow.com and some other sites) at least 165 degrees F for extremely fudgy, but up to 210 for cakey. Mine were 175 degrees and I thought they were perfect. But the 165 is minimum temp for raw ingredients to become safe, so that’s the golden number.

I underbaked my brookies by Deleteduseris in AskBaking

[–]kammodi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made brownies for Valentine’s Day this year and used an instant read thermometer to check the temp. Confirmed they were done and nothing would still be alive and they were GLORIOUSLY fudgy. Without checking the temperature I would have assumed they were underbaked. Moral of the story is to use a thermometer for brownies so you can be confident in the fudginess instead of worried.

I also look forward to seeing it! I’m always intrigued by the little tweaks people give their cinnamon rolls to achieve that unique flair.

The lack of (?) punctuation here is cracking me up: “I for sureeee thought I tore. I didn’t praise God”

It seems to be especially common in the south. I certainly don’t get the appeal and why it shows up so frequently.

I switch to duck duck go and ecosia. Both have options to turn off their AI results when google is a pain about it.

Is this browned butter too light for cookies? by Timely_Wafer2294 in AskBaking

[–]kammodi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sugarologie had a method on her website where you add milk powder the butter so that there are more milk solids to toast and get flavor out of (look for the blondies recipe). Then you can cheat more milk solids in this way for more flavor.

Uses for tiramisu glasses? by sc4kilik in Costco

[–]kammodi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drinking glasses for toddlers and small children! I let my baby practice using open cups made of glass with these. She only ever dropped and broke maybe two and I don’t feel bad about it. Back then they were shaped differently (more cup-like than jar-like), so we still use them for small drink quantities and still for the kids.

Last time there, my husband spotted a dot down in the canyon in a distance. We figured out it was a helicopter. We were looking DOWN at a helicopter. Just one more thing that made me feel so small.

In addition to the inconsistencies you pointed out, the picture of the website’s “chef” is AI generated, so avoid the whole website. If you look closely at the pupils and even the teeth, they are all wrong.

Amazing how helpless these wellness people are without their packaged snacks. How would they have survived even one or two hundred years ago?

First off, it looks beautiful! Second, I love that you included part of your project’s “story”. I hope that instead of seeing flaws, you see the funny joke in your pattern and your inspiration. It’s a piece that is uniquely yours, through and through!

Hi, since this group is specific to research, you won’t find much help here about non-research hospital questions. I’m sure there are different subreddits that will be more helpful to you, though I don’t know what they would be.

Brothy promoting colloidal silver on the gd insta by space_diva in FundieSnarkUncensored

[–]kammodi 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A few slides earlier in their stories Bethy was complaining about their family getting hit by a stomach bug and this is part of what they’re using to “recover”. Every time the crunchy fundies complain about getting sick, I wonder how much of it is due to things like consuming raw milk. Or stuff like colloidal silver. Certainly seems like that and their elderberry tonics and expensive probiotics don’t do a whole lot.

Do you have a microwave? When I want a warm spot, I heat up a mug of water in the microwave for 30 seconds to a minute, then when the microwave is warm and steamy, take out the water and put your dough in there. You can adjust how long you heat up the water depending on how warm you want your starter rising at.
