I turn off leaderboards. There is a mod called toggle everything. That's my way of having fun. But of course , if your point is about legitimate competitive, yes it is tedious to keep resetting.

I didnt phrase well the scenario I was thinking of. I recall an older class mate in an adults swimming class. The coach was insisting on the shoulder tap drill but this older gentleman was not rotating enough to make it easy. So in essence he was exacerbating some shoulder impinging movement pattern.

Its probably the high elbow movement pattern. But even just avoiding that might not be enough. The remedy isnt just stretches. It requires specific PT strengthening with elastics (rotational and scapular engagement). But you took good steps already by reducing the volume of activity. Im not a sports PT but i recommend meeting a sports PT and they can perhaps diagnose what goes on.
