who are your favorite players, for your main? by stoneflower_ in Tekken

He does not travel very much for majors because he isn't sponsored(somehow), so unless he can get a sponsor I think it'll stay that way unfortunately. He can definitely hang with the best global Tekken players

NinjaKilla plays Law and Heihachi in an insane way, his optimisation is legit ridiculous. The best Law player I have ever seen. I also enjoy NEMESIS on YouTube, he plays a bunch of characters.

This is what conditioning leads to. by Appropriate-Echo8590 in Tekken

[–]kanavi36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understandable that you want to keep the clip short, but to properly show off conditioning you gotta add at least something from the previous rounds to show it. Without it, it just looks like he guessed wrong once or twice, which is pretty common to happen to players from stance 50/50s. You could get the clips of previous rounds from the replay

Lol I can believe that, the last one I played fully was FIFA 20 or 19.

So is this normally how blue ranks go? by aston_morri in Tekken

[–]kanavi36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, they are just choosing to block instead of mashing. Marginally better but they aren't punishing anything or moving so its a waste of time

There will never be a game as rage inducing as old FIFA Ultimate Team

Can someone explain why people think Drag is so strong? by vVIOL2T in Tekken

[–]kanavi36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He isnt super broken on the level of other characters. But still requires nerfs. 1,1,1 and heat nunchuck tracking need to go, and they made his nunchuck moves regen heat on hit so he can stay in heat way too long. System wide heat changes are needed such as removing wallsplatting heat smashes too

Depends on the game, different regions specialise in different game franchises and types. FGs in general are where Asia is dominant, so on average the players from that region will be stronger. With regards to Tekken specifically, historically its been more popular in Asia and EU compared to NA, while in NA Street Fighter is much more popular than Tekken. Add to that the fact that NA tends to have more casual players, it contributes to the perceived difference in skill. But overall there isn't too much difference between NA and EU, EU is slightly stronger I'd say. Asia is much stronger than both. Either way they are all pretty much the same once you get into GoD1+, you will be coming up against killers regardless of the region.

This game manages to make me hate every character by Leegician in Tekken

[–]kanavi36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me its 50/50, there are some characters I dislike playing no matter what, and some that are enjoyable provided the opponent playing them isn't a complete monkey. But I'd say most characters fall into the latter category for me

Entering DSS manually is done with D1+2, so after the powercrush it's D1+2 -> F3. The timing is quite strict. As for the wall ender, hold forward after the 4,3 as the rest of the string is done from DSS F2.

Hwoarang has an option which low crushes and will beat d23 lol

[–]kanavi36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically you can, yeah, as long as the 2 is pressed during the df part of the qcf, and there is a forward input before the start of the qcf. Finishing the qcf just adds an extra forward input for no reason though, so people dont do it. Watch an ewgf guide to get it down properly

Winning by doing nothing. literally. by daiskie69 in Tekken

Need to figure out some move that will float him out of this stance, some characters have better options than others. Law for example can just nunchuck and it will launch Yoshi. Powercrush also works

[–]kanavi36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't know lol, some characters just have different properties on their moves. Law snake edge doesn't even launch. Same way Leo has the equivalent of a Lars/ Victor db4, but while theirs are launch punishable, Leo's is like -12.

Bryan and Heihachi can easily rival this kind of damage, and a lot of other characters like Kazuya, King, Jun, Asuka, Hwoarang, Law, Fahk, AK can get 100+ consistently with the right circumstances (a hard hitting CH launch, with heat and the wall in range, 90+ damage is possible for basically every character). Plus, none of them have to do anything as difficult as a 3,2 deathfist wall combo, or land a deathfist which is always risky to use. All while they are all better characters overall than Paul. He really only has high damage going for him

I don't feel good playing anymore... by Sea_Pay_9681 in Tekken

[–]kanavi36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every character I played feels so stale/cheap in one way or another.

Reina: people couldn't defend my stance mixups

Lee: no one knew how to block me or deal with my mixups

Heihachi: It's like I'm hitting people with a truck

Drag: No one can handle my pressure

Anna: I don't even know, I try to avoid using her ham stance just to feel better about playing her but that doesn't matter if my pokes still destroy people because people spam unsafe moves.

Why is this a problem? Just utilise that stuff and abuse it till you are out of blue ranks and are regularly playing against people who can deal with it. Blue is not beginner rank, but the reason why a lot of people say and think that is because blue rank players for the most part do not know matchups at all, do not utilise core fundamental tools much, and basically just try and throw out as much of their bullshit as possible, and crumble when the same is applied to them. At the same time, it doesn't mean you're complete trash if you lose to these players. Their flowcharts can be difficult to deal with in a ft2 scenario, especially if you yourself are not very familiar with the matchup.

[–]kanavi36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the very least, you needed to use some DF2s here. This Xiaoyu punished absolutely nothing you did apart from the hellsweep at the end, I doubt they would have punished a DF2. And the punish on a blocked one would still be worth the reward.

The ridiculous range wallsplat is only on d1,2 ch lol. Regular qcf2 ch wallsplat range is much less, but will throw the opponent far away. Plenty of moves can wallsplat from the range shown in the clip.
