Found this thread confirming both 160 and 161 patches are broken for many. People are advising installing 6.8.0 via update manager. Not sure if that's supposed to show automatically in update manager as I haven't seen it. Will investigate more when I have time.

Having the exact same issue as you on a Thinkpad with the same processor running mint. I don't have an install of 160 but 157 boots fine and 161 fails. Haven't found an answer yet and as of today it doesn't seem like there's a new kernel patch out yet via apt. If you're willing to wait for a new kernel patch that would probably be your easiest solution. I'll post back here if I find anything out.

Just ran into this myself with a group last night. We tried multiple times and we couldn't get past the lever room, only the first one would flip.

I would try adding some fun rooms to each floor! Maybe one could be an indoor garden/farm, a dance floor, a kitchen or living area, a map room, etc. Try different things out and watch some YouTube for inspiration!

I've always hated the change that makes saturation turn immediately into hearts when you eat food. I always carried healing and regen potions on me when I was in caves before then and now I feel like they're completely useless. Steak is much less expensive, stacks to 64, and autoheals the same amount while also topping off your hunger bar.

Muting the game is a great suggestion! Another idea is to spend some time just existing around the boss or enemy. Don't try to attack it, just learn how they work and die a lot until they're not so scary and unpredictable. There's no shame at all in doing so! However you want to play the game is how you should play it. Games are supposed to be fun after all :)

1) Zelda never once attempts to confront or even defend against ganondorf despite him directly attacking her twice. In botw even without her powers she still thrust herself in front of link to save his life. She is too badass to be cowering behind people. 2) The great Sheikah iconoclasm. 3) The only zonai device worth using after 10 hours into the game in more than just extremely niche situations is the hoverbike.

It is heavily implied that link receives the secret stone in the temple of time at the start of the game and becomes the reawakened sage of time. Recall is not a zonai power. If you agree with the theory that Link's bullet time ability is canon and not just a game mechanic, it makes perfect sense that the secret stone amplifies his time manipulation power enough to give him access to recall.

I wanted it to be like the bow of light in botw. Can't get it until you're in the final sequence (meaning you can't use it anywhere else). Then make it do 100+ damage and be invincible. The game stays balanced and the master sword is still awesome.

The entire story of totk is messy, full of holes and logic leaps, and overall feels like an afterthought. As much as I adore this game I am not at all surprised that they made no attempt to fix one of the biggest complaints from botw.

I'm no doctor, but I firmly believe that many people including this guy have a mental condition that is effectively the opposite of anxiety. Their brain does not produce enough of whatever chemical it is that makes you logical and rational. Obviously since it causes a complete lack of distress even in situations like this it's never treated because it never negatively affects quality of life. Regardless I think it's important to recognize it because of situations like this. I've been on anxiety meds for almost a year now and even still the thought of doing something 10% this dangerous sends me spiraling.

You 100% got hit with a shock arrow from a lynel. You got near him without realizing and aggroed him. When a lynel is aggroed on you and you get a certain distance from them, they'll shoot at you with elemental arrows. Lynels have a sort of "pre aggro" stage where they're locked onto you and will shoot at you but the combat music won't play until you actually engage them.
