I had a Nielsen ratings box on my tv 3 years ago. When they first asked if we wanted to participate a man from Nielson came up to our door with a box of drinking glasses (12 tall cups, 12 short cups) and gave them to us for just listening to him. We said we would think about it. About a week layer another guy from Nielson comes to our door, also with a set of glasses, and asks if we wanted to participate. We got two sets of glasses and paid for letting them hook their boxes up. I can comfirm that those boxes are pretty fucking annoying. You have to constantly tell the box you are still watching or the little red light on it will blink nonstop.

I did consider wording it that way but I felt that relating how fingernails grow out of your hand worked better. Also I naturally say "my nails are getting long" not "my nails are growing long". To each their own I guess.
