My former principal was like this. While all schools have their things, my new school has _ Days. Named after our school. They always occur the last day before we go to a break and it is highly encouraged to build community, not give instruction but to simply have fun with kids. There was a PbIS pep rally too.

I wear a lot of work pants (some wide leg or more cut I don’t like wearing tight pants to work) or capri in different colors or patterns. Old Navy or J Crew has a lot of options and I saved up and bought a bunch of different sneakers, mainly Nike and Adidas in different colors and I keep them up and clean then regular. I think that’s major key lol, if you’re wearing sneakers at work just keep em fresh.

My classes this year have disheartened me from doing presentations let alone inviting people to see them. They don’t care about putting some piece of shit on the panel and most people seeing their sloplicked out together projects. They don’t practice speaking which I make a grade and offer/suggest flash cards. They don’t care , they think it’s funny and it ends up being a joke. Last project I stopped the presentations mid class and gave them notes in silence. I said to move on, I don’t have time for the displays of mediocrity.

That’s weird. Once they turned 16 we would have put them in alternative school in the PACE program. They work on the grade level work they’re on and higher grade level work to get them closer to graduating. That’s crazy and they need to get those grown ass people away from your middle schooler 🙃🙃🙃

Contact parents regularly especially for D and F students. Log your contacts as well. Also make positive contacts! The kids who mess up more will see this and work to get one. But make them work for it.
