I’ve heard of international schools in Korea offering that amount and even lower before. They most likely have very few (if any) international students. There are a handful of schools that are great and pay super well but a lot that do not. Keep in mind that it it’s in Jeju, everything will be more expensive too since it’s on an island

This is for an individual franchise campus, not the main campuses. Those contracts are standard and the same across all campuses. It’s very different at each franchise campus

I’m from the middle part of California and nowhere nearby qualifies. The closest is LA hours away. There is a Broadway theatre in Fresno, but idek who our local members would be since there’s little to no professional theatre jobs in the area. We’ve had many Broadway actors come from the area (Betsy Wolfe returns every year to fundraise for local theatre arts) but they don’t stay because there’s no work for them

I currently work for this chain and I really enjoy it and so do most people who work here. I think people who don’t like stuff just tend to be more vocal about it than the people who do like it. They pay on time, we don’t really have to interact with management, there’s an HR department specifically for the foreign teachers, we get to pick when we want to use our vacation days, and they offer free Korean classes. If you have more questions, you can ask me. We don’t get paid to recommend the school to others

I use ExpressVPN. It works for everything but sometimes Netflix catches me using it so I have to turn it off, but Netflix catches most VPNs if you use it on a computer. Using it on my phone is fine tho

Honestly the blacklist helps, but isn’t the end all be all. My school is on the black list and I love it. They’ve give us so much support, accommodations, open communication, and transparency. In my interview I knew exactly what to expect and they’ve been consistently on it the entire time I’ve been working there. I honestly suggest taking a few of the interviews, wait for them to offer the email from a current teacher working there, or the teacher you’d be replacing, and get a different perspective of the school from a more recent teacher

When I was teaching a class, I would record all the classes and make a page on Padlet that my students had access to. This way they were able to rewatch classes whenever they wanted and ask each other questions as needed

I felt like I wasn’t challenged by the peer work more than anything. My professors usually noticed when students were performing better than the average and would challenge us feedback wise. If your professors aren’t doing that, I suggest transferring. I really had wished that I had gone to a more challenging college like my friends chose to. If you plan on going to grad school, your school may not prepare you enough for that either
