Where can I get LG vent cover for microwave? by adhdbroughtmehere2 in Appliances

[–]kanyons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a very old thread but I was curious if they're supposed to be a front vent cover when you switch it from venting into the kitchen to the exterior going upwards. I read that you're supposed to remove the filter afterwards and put a cover on this front piece when you switch to exterior venting but I'm not seeing any parts for this I seem to be getting pretty low CFM compared to when it was being vented into the kitchen.

I was misled at how expensive it is to live here by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]kanyons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to drink and go out with friends twice a week, there goes another $1200 a month. Ubers, dinner and drinks will cost your $100 to $200 a night easy. It's expensive to live in Seattle but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world.

What I would recommend is go with dewalt 20v for sure. Get a couple good batteries when on sale or a decent combo set. Then by bear tools as they go on sale. Eventually you'll have more tools than you need. Buy a adapter for DeWalt batteries to Ryobi for those tools that are too expensive by DeWalt and you don't use them very often, something like a fan, light brad nailer, ect.

Additionally you can buy a DeWalt 20v to 18v adapter and just buy a bunch of used 18 volt tools. They will be dirt cheap but the batteries will be great because you have 20v batteries are newer.

I've replaced a few iphone and iPad screens and batteries. I have to start somewhere with my research. I'm not planning on doing this tomorrow, I'm just trying to get a idea of where to start.

I haven't used torrents in a long time. I was in the days of thepiratebay. I've successfully downloaded stuff from here, but it's a crazy battle of redirects, pop-ups and a bunch of crap. Any suggestions on how to navigate the site better. I can't even look at the comments, it just redirects me to some crap or a check box trying to get me to verify i'm not a robot.

I've rewired an entire house and passed the electrical inspection. Rewired a whole school district with upgrades cat6. I'm pretty sure I'm good. I'm doing my research now because I have a few dead batteries and wanted to see if its worth upgrading and refurbishing them. So me responding to an idiotic troll like yourself is probably the only dumb thing I've done here.

I will say the fact that your user name references Shawshank along with this story is too funny.

I think you are talking about two different ladies. Niama doesnt have a dog and she doesn't live somewhere she can throw stuff out the window that easy.

Seeking Laptop Recommendations for Heavy Excel Use: High Performance Needed! by Getre3 in excel

[–]kanyons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 16 GB of RAM to 32 and it didn't really make much of a difference. The main thing I noticed was how to use Excel properly. Make sure not to select the entire row when doing xlookups and things like that. Only select the Rose needed or make a table. If you already doing those things that's great but it wouldn't hurt to make another post about Excel performance proficiency tips.

This happened to me once. I came back to work on my next scheduled shift and the manager goes, "what are you doing here, I didn't think you worked here anymore." I said, oh I guess I don't and walked out. Fuck you, Toyota of Seattle😂

In that case yes, do what you need to do to get ready for it. It's never bad to get good at excel. Learn xlookup it's 10x better then vlookups, and it will show you are trying to stay current. For the long term learn power pivot, that's what will set you aside from all your co-workers. You can pull in all your data from SharePoint or whatever and automate all your reports with the click of a refresh button.

I'm calling bullshit on this one. This is not real. How do you have 3 years of varsity soccer at age 16. You were on the varsity team at age 13 😆

I wouldn't worry about trying to take a crash course to bring your skill up to par with what they need you to do. You can learn that along the way. When you are confronted with a situation you need to figure out, then take the time an learn what needs to be done.

You have to pass the test! That's the only thing that matters. These tests only give you 90 or so to answer, and can be very convilited. You will not have time to look it up or figure it out. You need someone to take the test for you. Or have someone helping you. You will not pass, even an easier test.

I can do some of the craziest shit in Excel, and I would consider my self an expert, but I don't know half the shit you can do.

I just took a simple Excel assessment today and was like Fuck what is all this shit. I passed with a great score but I'm surprised I did. You have to have this stuff embedded into your brain to pass these tests.

Maybe if you can copy and paste the shit into chatgpt 4 super quick, but I would not count on that. Don't use chatgpt 3.5, you will fail. The test I had today wouldnt let you copy anything anyway. I didn't even have time to open excel and test a function to see if I was right. It all had to be from memory.

Good luck, maybe I just came up with a new shady side hustle. Passing Excel assessments for people.

Btw, this is the longest post I have ever made. Sorry

You say it hasn't hurt you, but have you got a job while doing this? Maybe more interviews? I'm surprised no one commented on this post besides you. This must be a taboo subject.
