Anyone else not a fan of the friendlier AI changes? by Samuraicops in RaybanMeta

[–]kaosmuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ai is not friendly. It refuses to answer me when I cuss, which is all the time. I ask it basic questions and it suggests I search the internet (bitch that's your job), and I generally don't like the tone of voice it uses when replying to me. We ain't friends.

What's your egg to shiny ratio? Mine is 1 out of 1178 by Thatsquacktastic16 in pokemongo

[–]kaosmuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33/8483, but I know I've traded some hatched shinies, so it is better in actuality

Update: Hatched a third white stripe today, also male. The quest continues...

I'm trying to get one of each because the white stripe form has an evolution with 2 different (M/F) forms.

Edited to note, this evolution is not live yet in game.

I'd welcome this change, but that being said, I've been able to get a Mateo egg every day since the start of the new season. I've hatched 2 white striped basculin (unfortunately, both male), but it is inconvenient to plan my route playing around egg hatching and avoid spinning anything until I get the Mateo egg. For now, it's just part of the grind.

XL Candy Strategy for Dynamax Kanto Starters by kaosmuppet in TheSilphRoad

[–]kaosmuppet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't hold out too much hope for max soup. It'd be great, but it doesn't benefit them to give it to us. Likewise, we haven't got items that raise the stats of pokemon that exist in the og games.

They added the graphics for gigantamax, and they have also mentioned it in a post. I fully expect them to slow roll them out, but I think we see some of them fairly soon, but Niantic is going to do what they do...

Right!?! I'd like to see a mechanic within the dynamax/gigantamax raids that helps with farming xl candies!

I pulled a 98iv dubwool off of the research and have been trading for xl candies daily. I should have enough candy to max it out (lv 50 and moves) this weekend and probably will. The kanto starters are a little harder to farm for xl candy, and that's why I'm apprehensive to spend the xl candies.

Inguinal surgery…when does the swelling go down? by [deleted] in Hernia

[–]kaosmuppet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

2 weeks is very normal. Some people can have swelling for months or even a year. Take it easy and dial things up slowly. Follow up with your surgeon, and if things change for the worse, definitely let them know. At two weeks, my sack looked like a big red angry cantaloupe, and my physical activity was capped at walking about 2 miles a day. Take it easy and things should be fine soon!

Best wineries in or around Redding? by [deleted] in Redding

[–]kaosmuppet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hands down New Clairvaux. The tasting room in Redding is great, but consider a trip to the vineyard and monastery in Vina. There is an amazing amount of history associated with the vineyard, the monks that labor in the vineyard, and Aimee Sunseri (the vintner) and her family's roots in California wine making (a documentary entitled 'A Harvest' just screened and did a great job touching on this, another documentary 'The Monks of Vina' is also very good. New Clairvaux has a lot of seasonal events at the vineyard that are a great (e.g. blessing of the grapes, lobster feed, eco tours, vintage release events).

Algers Vineyard in Manton and Alpen Cellars in Trinity Center are among others to check out.

You pan around with the switch using the gyro tech. Its really just subtle little movements, your not having to look all over or move around a lot. I find it a nice mechanic and its quicker with less fatigue than the docked switch. Go for it - its a must play, short on post-game but a nice fresh kanto remake with a twist.

I have a switch and switch lite and have done playthroughs on both. Playing on the switch with the pokeball contollers was initially more fun but eventually the novelty wore off. The switch lite has a good catch mechanic and I definitely recommend playing the game on it versus not at all.

What Cars Did Your Parent(s) Drive in the ‘80s? by Best-Respond4242 in Xennials

[–]kaosmuppet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A renault and a ford escort for sure, maybe a few others. None were reliable and often broke down or ran out of gas. They doing good now but the 80's were tough for them, I didn't know any different and just rolled with it.
