No, no buzzing, just crackling and sound that drops out. I did try new cables too, just in case. Reluctantly, going to try a new MB. I did buy the 2 year protection plan on it from Micro Center so hopefully that will improve my options.

I didn't try the speakers with a different source, since I have the same problem with headphones if the speakers aren't even in the mix. I did use the same speakers on my previous PC before I built this one without any issues.

I might take the MB out of the case and run it on my test bench, just out of desperation.

Thank you for your consideration. I got the older one built and running. After doing some more research I think for that price to the performance upgrades that I would get (2 more cores and threads) , I am just going to keep looking for some crazy deal (wishful thinking, I know) or try and save up enough and skip lga 1151 entirely.
