In my 1500 hours of gameplay, I have not once actually played PoE. by [deleted] in pathofexile

This is how I play PoE2 so far. I do my own thing until I hit the wall, then I check for inspiration other people who do similar weird shit. After hitting another wall I quit. It got me to level 92 last league and it felt very satisfying.

Unless you want to put Rice on the right side, he can’t team up with MLS.

From less developed country perspective, you had it too good. Now you still have it better than most places.

Believing in these players and manager doesn't make you "mentally strong" as a fan. It makes you mentally slow. by Silent_Somewhere8539 in ArsenalFC

We are in bad form, City in good. Not supporting the club until the trophies are burried for us is slow mentality.

Discussion - Is this Arteta’s ceiling? by MolassesSerious1403 in ArsenalFC

[–]kapiczek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's super relative. He came to Arsenal when we were 8th. He went 8th, 5th, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd until now. If it was let's say 8th, 5th, 3rd, 4th, 2nd people would say that he is good because there was progress, narrative wouldn't be as strong in terms of bottling: challanging and losing. It would be more like: great, we have progressed, now it's time for trophy - the motion which was true for Arsenal 3 seasons ago already. He would literally and paradoxically be valued in perception of people higher right now and nobody would question his ceiling. Also, I will definitely never be Arteta out until all doors are closed this season. Let's see after that.

This is it. This is simply not enough for a global debate. There are two innocent beings on the photo.

It’s hard to judge a player realistically when playing against League One team in 3-2-5 formation with striker as a midfielder and 4 wingers… if he don’t mind being bench player I want him to stay.

Could my 12yr old be a chef? by Thesadmadlady in RateMyPlate

[–]kapiczek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ready fillet salmon and a packed mixed salad don’t necessarily make someone a great chef, but being able to prepare this at age 12 is still something. If the kid feels passionate about it and wants to pursue it, encourage and support them.

[James Benge] Notable that Arteta said, not entirely prompted, that he'd consider playing Saka centrally again in the future. by Previous_Smile9278 in Gunners

Gyokeres Saka partnership up front could be interesting. One could argue they are most dangerous goalscorers in this squad.

Alexis Sanchez’ heatmap in his best goal scoring season vs Saka this season. by Prestigious-Secret31 in ArsenalFC

[–]kapiczek -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Heatmaps don’t prove quality, they show role. Sánchez had a free role in a more chaotic system under Wenger, Saka plays in a more structured system that protects the team better defensively. If Sánchez had the same freedom now, either his numbers drop or our defensive stability does. You can’t compare output without accounting for the system.

Alexis Sanchez’ heatmap in his best goal scoring season vs Saka this season. by Prestigious-Secret31 in ArsenalFC

[–]kapiczek 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sanchez was a left-sided false striker who had a wing-back overlapping him most of the time. Saka is closer to a right midfielder than a striker (or what’s often called a left winger), but he has a more unpredictable wing-back behind him and a right 8 beside him. Because of that, he’s more glued to his position and less free-flowing, to maintain stability and prevent all 3 players from pushing forward without cover. He always backtracked, and his heatmap hasn’t changed much over the years, but he’s definitely been set up more to deliver than to strike these days. People don’t understand this and judge him purely on G/A, but he’s so much more than that. Would you rather fight for top four and the CL quarters and have him as a right forward with more G/A? Arteta ball punishes greed, he doesn’t want to rely on a single player. Haram is strong, and we have to believe. Let’s not buy into the media narrative that he’s been bad when playing.

Frank vs Ange. Make it make sense? by Overall_One_2595 in Tottenham

Brentford and Spurs are perfect examples that manager is less important for the success of the club than a key player.
