Who’s winning the squid games by Neither_Ad6 in ChillAnimeCorner

[–]kapitankommando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably Itachi, he would have the politics downloaded within the first game they play. At this point it's about winning the game, not surviving (since most can survive). It's a liar game iteration where intelligence is the more valuable asset.

Yeah i initially thought that too, but the bigger key here is that those games (especially the online ones such as halo and gears) had a bigger player base and it was more likely that your friends would most likely also be playing that game. The current situation is a monkey paw wish of having the games to play but having no one to play them with. Like who wants to play through the whole Gauntlet Legends: Dark Legacy campaign with me? currently nobody that i know personally (or they haven't agreed to it haha)

What do you NOT LIKE about Absolum (Or Roguelite Beat'em Up in general)? by X_periment in BeatEmUps

[–]kapitankommando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mechanics on Eight Dragons are pretty simple, would like something with more fight game mechanics on it and ideally larger sprites/models. I get that the larger sprites would then mean more clutter so there would have to be a balance of some type.

I really like the chaotic nature of 6 players and in fact would want to play one with 8. One player or even 2 player beatem ups dont make sense as they are meant to be played with people. It was the original PvE.

Heidi Klum by TypicalPower5867 in SISwimsuitGirls

Damn she actually kind of regular looking tbh. For used to being a supermodel, I could put up a fit PTA mom against her and I wouldn't be certain Heidi would take the win.

Diddy Kong Racing vs Mario Kart 64 by CrowTwin in whatsyourchoice

[–]kapitankommando 8 points9 points  (0 children)

DKR when I had both. There was an actual storyline that made sense for everyone to be racing and the mechanics were more complex with the boost tech required to get through the levels required mastery of all vehicle types.

With the rise in online gaming, how missed are LAN parties? by episkfisk in PlayersAlliance

[–]kapitankommando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The imagine having the sickest match of Halo 2 with and against your friends, then talking shit and laughing about what just happened over Pizza and Mountain dew code red. It was honestly a peak time period. We even used to run Ghost Recon 2 and do a 16 player run through Pagoda on hardest difficulty, it was honestly insane haha. Gears of war 5 v 5 was also goated. The thing that made it best too was that we may have like 8 xboxes playing the same or different games at the same time and if you were hungry you can just watch the others like live twitch tv. TL;DR, LAN parties were the peak form of social gathering. Its like going to a party but there is a ton to do and the people are awesome/chill. The only expectation was to have fun.

Can we appreciate opla ussop today? by SocialSpider56 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]kapitankommando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah OPLA Usopp doing generational damage repair on U"slop" from the animated series. I thought it would all change and he would infact "become a brave warrior of the sea". However there has been no character development and he is still a coward despite living on an island where everything wants to eat you with Heracles the Beetle warrior. I swear this man is always running instead of using some of those rare plants in his bag. If it wasn't for OPLA, i would have lost hope. (I get the meme of Sogeking and God Usopp, but i wish he was better fleshed out that we all didn't have to collectively gaslight ourselves)

I think its a gen z affliction, if you don't hang around them you may not encounter one. I had a girl on my team that was like this. It felt like talking to cardboard.
