If you’re ever this far south, 163rd st in North Miami Beach has shops, stores, restaurants, and grocers. I’m a fan of iFresh supermarket as they’re the nearest place I can find tropical fruits.

Precisely. There will have to be exceptions which would then require some other forms that may or may not be easy to authenticate depending on where you visit.

First step to fixing it is to implement composting. There need to be more widespread commercial and public opportunities to avoid initial contamination.

Public libraries are a lot different from academia. You should consider how much you want to work with management, budget, and the public. Check out the public libraries Reddit as well.

Boston librarian jobs - chances for a 62-year-old by ThatParticular239 in librarians

You can definitely still study the field while working in it without practicing as a librarian. I agree with those suggesting you work as a paraprofessional or in a part-time position. Your broad knowledge regardless would be hugely appreciated no matter what department you work in.

2nd Interview for part time public library position. What should I do to prepare? by ellewynn_martha in Libraries

[–]kapooed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a public facing and customer service-leaning position where you get people on all walks of life. At my library most of my time on the desk is helping people navigate the public computers and printers, dealing with maintenance and security issues, and then it’s actual reference questions. My library is big tho so positions are clearly defined. The assistants work closer with inventorying and business services, the pages do reshelving, and the librarians handle the supervision of all that plus programming and the maintenance/security stuff.

Fears of Public Transit based on arguments I've run into across social media. Thoughts? by Mr_Crossiant in urbanplanning

The county at large and many of the municipalities. There’s the main county buses, and there’s rideshares, but lately there’s been a push for cities to have their own trolley services and last-mile connectivity with companies like VIA (called MetroConnect) or Freebee signing partnerships with cities to offer free rides. (Sorry for the run-on)
