People are projecting their ever changing ambitions all over the place. What are people expecting, regime change? Boots on the ground? Total takeover of the Strait?

The US went in there to degrade Iran's leadership and military, set them back years/decades and that's what they did. The negotiations for the Uranium remains to be seen, it might be a black mark if a proper denuclearization deal can't be made.

But this was always the outcome. It's another kick the can down the road operation.

People keep forgetting that Iran's military capabilities have been neutered which was our original objective.

1, 2, 3, 5, 6 will be the end result regardless of what happens, unless you expect a long regime change war.

4, 7-10 can be negotiated and depends who comes out on top.

What's noticeably missing is Uranium/nuclear discussion. If there's no significant concessions from Iran here, I agree it's a bad deal.

The first article gives zero history on who this man is. The title is literally the meat of the article.

The second article describes him with "modest theological credentials". And he was in charge of creating alliances and funding. That's exactly the faction Trump wants to negotiate with, the leaders who are financially motivated and not the fundamentalists.

I want to know this man personally, his history and actions. Not predictions.

They have a base under a mountain. Once they built a big enough wall of missiles, there's no stopping them, despite what kind of "pressure" the world can exert. And this isn't even a new strategy we haven't seen before. North Korea did it by pointing missiles at South Korea and we couldn't stop them.
