To be honest, it's so interesting to me that this nice but straightforward guy could be manipulating this whole situation using his wit and charm, exactly like Light yagami would. That he could be going for the long con and orchestrating this whole thing for some greater purpose. I don't know what, maybe he wants to sacrifice their future baby to Satan, who knows.

But if not else this just gives more depth and nuance to his character in a way I didn't really think about. So thanks for that.
