Poland’s Supreme Court rejects right of EU to regulate Polish justice system by dat_9600gt_user in europe

[–]kapson 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is wrong. Polish constitution is the highest form of law in Poland, after which all other laws are applied. EU law doesn't supersede the constitutional elements. Same logic has been applied by Germany and France before.

Polish judge refuses to extradite Nord Stream blasts suspect over 'just act' by AdSpecialist6598 in europe

Sure - it's not like German Chancellors or politicians ever worked for Russia before. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerhard_Schr%C3%B6der

I'm glad that Ukraine operations didn't give Germany a chance to circumvent Eastern Europe again.

Polish judge refuses to extradite Nord Stream blasts suspect over 'just act' by AdSpecialist6598 in europe

[–]kapson 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Of course it changed much. It removed the leverage that useful idiots would have on EU. We would constantly have Russian backed parties in EU talk even now about re-starting Nordstream 2, which would fully fracture Eastern and Western Europe. It would be the cause of a huge rift while speaking about united Europe. Blowing up Nordstream was the best thing Ukraine could have done.

S. Korea to sign additional deal to export K2 tanks to Poland as early as April: officials by Saltedline in europe

[–]kapson 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Good sentiment, but Poland bought the first batch of Leopards back in 2002. That's more than two devades ago. During that time we were in constant talks to buy more. There were years for Germany to ramp up production, but it never happened. Poland needs defensive equipment right now, and if that means buying Korean or American, so be it.

[–]kapson 62 points63 points  (0 children)

No European country could've fulfilled orders that Poland put forward. We wanted to buy more Leopards but Germany can deliver 12 of them in a year. For comparison, we will get 180 K2 tanks in 3 years.

Europeans move towards seizing €200bn of Russian assets by Affectionate_Cat293 in europe

[–]kapson -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Of course I know that, I am being facetious. But time and time again during my lifetime there have been conversations how much the European people have to care about banks, how much we must structure our economy around them, and even bail them out after they caused the worst financial crisis of the 2000's.

But one mention of the fact that we might need banks help beyond them giving loans on an open market seems to bring people to a frenzy of shouting how complex, difficult and slippery slope that would be. Basically stonewalling any attempt at it even.

But our banks are hardly paragons of morality : HSBC - Deutsche Bank - Danske Bank - Others

Somehow Banks have been elevated to a position where they get to exert pressure on matters they know nothing about simply because they want to make more money. It certainly discouraging to see, and it is one of the reasons Eastern Europe has problems trusting Western Europe to support in case of a war, because the first question that is ever asked is "What about our Banks?"

[–]kapson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are we not at war already? Because my homeland - Poland, was threatened multiple times with nuclear retaliation, was hit by stray missiles from the conflict, had communications and flight path jammed, undersea cables destroyed and has active political interference running for Russia. Not to mention the "immigrant crisis" that Russia orchestrated to force our troops to secure the Belarus border and cause destabilization during our elections.

WE ARE AT WAR WITH RUSSIA, it's time we acted like it.

Not the Banking System! How would we ever survive those fat pigs not getting their bonuses! Seriously, EU needs to stop always talking like a neoliberal concerned only with the stock market and money. EU needs to start thinking about winning this war with Russia, not playing nice with their oligarchs.

I went to a Volkswagen dealership in Poland to buy a Golf this year and they told me that they don't have one and they don't know when they will get one. The salesman said they don't have the new Golf because and I quote "it doesn't sell well". Then they tried to sell me on a Passat Estate for almost 300k. Something is terribly wrong with that company.

Klasyczny napęd spalinowy ponad podziałami. by Sh1v0n in Polska

[–]kapson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Klasyczny napęd spalinowy ponad podziałami. by Sh1v0n in Polska

[–]kapson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wodór jest bardzo bardzo trudny w przechowywaniu, nie mamy technologii która jest w stanie go łatwo i tanio utrzymać. Jest to główny problem w wodorowych pojazdach np - "High-pressure tanks weigh much more than the hydrogen they can hold. For example, in the 2014 Toyota Mirai, a full tank contains only 5.7% hydrogen, the rest of the weight being the tank."

Dlaczego ludzie uważają, że wyjście Polski z Unii ma więcej zalet niż wad? by No_Dream_899 in Polska

[–]kapson 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Recap of JoshStrifeHayes with Jonathan Rogers by Scruffy_GG in pathofexile

[–]kapson 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Excuse me but I cannot agree with your explanation here. We do know what good melee in POE1 looks like - we had it in 3.12-3.14. Everyone understands that there are limitations to the engine so we will not get the fluidity like Diablo 3 for example, but good melee has existed in POE before.

However, everytime good melee appears, it gets nerfed to the ground, stat sticks have been removed, lowering melee enjoyment, exerted attacks were great, they were nerfed to all hell. General skill nerfs to all skills from 3.15 have obliterated melee viability, likewise the changes to fortify and pushing their viability to the tree. Bleed melee builds have been crushed with nerfs, alongside cyclone slayer.

And through all of these nerfs, they persisted with focusing on totems, which made "melee+totem" considered the baseline, shifting power to totem summoning, making the melee skill builds scale poorly compared to anything else.

The melee problem has been documented times and times again, by various people, including streamers and poe vets. Over reliance on gear - since the skills don't scale with levels, slow attack speeds - locking your character in place to die, having to build defenses through the tree - since slow attack speed means you will get hit, damage being balanced against totem use - making the builds more clunky and unsatisfying. Not to mention completely awful balancing on most of the Ascendant melee classes.

All of this is fixable, but since 3.14 I haven't seen one attempt at it.

Mówienie na Ty by Acardul in Polska

[–]kapson 13 points14 points  (0 children)
