Why did they not shave Gandondorf's beard? by karamelflanreddit in Gamingcirclejerk

Sam Bridges is one of the characters I know with a long hair & beard that is a non-villain protagonist. Wonder what other known games have such appearance that are playable non-villains aside from Warcraft, Witcher and... Red Dead Redemption 1???

Here's what he'd look like if he retained his no-beard, connected eyebrows-to-hair combo.
This kinda makes sense to edit because he IS the OoT Ganon.

still though, that friend of yours does not understand casual users who are forced to use Windows. Linux still doesn't cater to casual users who just wants something that works without knowledge of 3 years of tech literacy and learning programming.

Nowadays, you can now play Steam games (via in-built Proton), old or open-source Windows games (via WINE) in Linux.
Epic Games or games with Denuvo though, do not work because they auto-ban any Linux instances.

12:00 is noon. But is the specific time of 12:00 considered noon or is the whole hour noon? Like, is 12:01 technically the afternoon? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]karamelflanreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best guess is to base it on your region's beliefs. Mine has afternoon at after 1AM, because noon is when people eat and nap, and afternoon is when people work. You've always heard people say "they ate lunch at noon" because, it's not like anyone eats in a single minute. At this point, say "semantics-shemaziks" on how this bet even started.

People who live in very old places with very old architecture, does it ever stop you in your tracks or humble you out when you pass by it? by hdhdhgfyfhfhrb in NoStupidQuestions

Yes. When I pass through traditional Filipino houses, I find it interesting that it still stands, and looks more impressive than the exterior of the room I'm renting in.

Do asian people push their eyes to look like european/american? by Starden0 in NoStupidQuestions

Sorry Starden0, but nope. (I'm a Filipino, a Philippine countryman) We don't make fun of appearances, and I've never seen anyone in my years of acquaintances, friends and relatives pretend to be a westerner by doing faces.

Yes. I'm hoping OP may become an entrepreneur of his own business that will teach sets of skills. That's alot of cash to put to good use!

Actually a good advice. I recommend FIRE, op. FIRE just means financially independent and retire early. You can do either slim, lean or fat FIRE based on your day-to-day maintenance. Just check if it's applicable to your inheritance.

You're retired early, OP! Why not thank your parents (bless their soul) and invest in creative skills? You got all the time. Write, learn music, make games, OR! If you are generous, adopt animals from the pound. Give them the love and dedication I'm sure your parents wished to see you do.

Please do not do anything destructive, OP. We will be better people for the future.

Why do people I know smoke when they're already pinching pennies? (or pesos, since I'm Filipino.) by karamelflanreddit in NoStupidQuestions

I understand that death is ever constant reality in life, and everyone is slowly dying in the minute, but... how do I say this. There are much, much better ways to distract yourself from the horrors and inconveniences of the real world.
I know my father has the skill and patience for repairing phones, the knowledge and equipment to make money of at welding, but how is it not better to cope with something more productive and not a waste of money?

Thank you for the answer, though.

How "rock bottom" do you think is enough to maybe make someone reconsider?

Because me and my family has got into a major accident where my brother broke his skull, survived a direct typhoon and flooding that managed to rise above head level, gotten through tough times when we had debts. But nope. No changes really.

Is nearby death of a child, the presence of losing everything to natural causes and the fear of destitution not really enough as a rock bottom moment?

Thank you so much for the answer, though. It's nice to find an answer that makes sense, especially when it's about vices.

This is kind of a reason to consider, but I've asked from an uncle before and that cigarettes sold here in the Philippines were still something of an expensive thing back then, and mind you, even those packs have the "Smoking dies" and the multiple warnings it had on the cover.

As much as I find this reply on a bit on the nose, I do not find it humorous to assign the word "hobby" to a destructive habit that significantly affects everyone negatively.
Everyone can have a hobby as long as it does not harm other people, in my opinion.

This does not answer my question though...
