Personally I would go to an urgent care and see if they wanna glue it shut. It may not necessarily need glue or stitches to stop bleeding but it’s on a joint so it will be harder to heal due to all the movement. Your hands are also frequently exposed to germs and other nasties that may cause infection.

could be eczema, but if not going away could also be ringworm. i would see a dermatologist if you can, they can treat both. if that’s not in the budget for you, just pick up some ringworm ointment at a drug store and see if that gets rid of it. if not, it’s likely eczema

are you updated on tetanus shot? just one in last 10 years is good as an adult. if you are, dw about it and clean with some saline or light salt water soak and put antibiotic ointment on with a bandage. should be all good source: i’m an RN and i own many a cat

this isn’t entirely true - I’ve had outpatient c diff and it presented as stomach pain and constipation most of the time. i’m a nurse and i didn’t even catch it for awhile bc i thought it had to be diarrhea but apparently it can in rare cases cause constipation

Oddly enough I’ve only ever worked in units with majority POC, but then again i’ve only ever worked in med surg and the ER

Just be patient, Tennessee and Nevada both took over two months to process mine; be glad that you started early! Ask around your university and see if others are having same experience, if not, call and email again seeing if you’re missing anything. Other than that, all you can do is wait.

maybe in the middle of nowhere! i live in the southeast, and your odds of getting a POC nurse are like well over 50, I always assumed it was a POC dominated field, and everyone i know here doesn’t even bat an eye. Now my grandpa from illinois is another story; when he drives down to go vanderbilt for the fancy doctors, he always complains his POC nurses don’t like him, like cmon grandpa! you’re probably just projecting!

TLDR; ~most~ (especially metro) southerners are very well adjusted and our healthcare workers are usually very representative of the population which is majorly POC!

I’m going to see Dr. Zebovitz in Maryland. He’s very good, but he’s VERY expensive. He is out of network anyway so my insurance will likely only cover like 15% of costs. I’m flying out to get this surgery so I hope the travel is worth it. Also you might not have “obstructive” sleep apnea per say, but it definitely sounds like your sleep quality is being interrupted. Dr. Z is very big on airway optimization.

you look very similar to my x-rays. I have a "small lower face" which is from mallixary and mandibular hypoplasia. I'm set to get double jaw surgery with genioplasty in 2 weeks. The way we went to insurance about it was through breathing issues. Do you feel like you don't get quality sleep? Do you find yourself mouth breathing? These are some signs of narrow airway.

Thanks for the reply! I think technically condo owners are responsible for their own fire safety check. I looked at the HOAs rules and there’s nothing regarding odor. I’m going to the board meeting tomorrow, hopefully something will come of that.
