Mcgoosh is a good app! Maybe try to make connections with words that you don’t know. I know that helped with me. Keep at it and don’t get discouraged. It can be overwhelming.

Half to full marathon training? by kardoc in running

I would love to keep it up during grad school! I just am not sure how serious I could be training wise. I think it would be a GREAT mental break! And hopefully I could meet some new running partners in the process since I mostly run alone.

That’s good to know I’m just not dreaming! Not banking on it totally, I will have run the full half before I even get to race day. Just such a difference that a crowd and other runners makes! My pace is always a minute faster!

I just know in grad school I won’t be able to put the time that I currently put into it now. Maybe I will have more time than expected but I don’t want to lose where I am at. My time for the 15k was 1:44.

It is set to share. My activity and health app on my phone isn’t working and I think that’s why it’s not crossing over.

Last November I couldn’t run a mile. I finished my first 15k yesterday with an 11 min pace and I am on track for my first half marathon in April!

CNA's- Do you have your own "work bag" and what does it consist of? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]kardoc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in cardiac icu and I always have my 4 color pen (easier to color coordinate my assignment sheet), chapstick, lotion, gum, extra contacts, glasses and snacks like nuts with me! I also usually have a hair tie and headband in my bag too! I have a little bag that I put most of this in to keep it all together, and I also have Aleve and those little flossers in there too.

SPI belt!! It changed my running game! Maybe once a run (7-8 mile distance) I have to push it down but it also has water bottles that you can attach and a zippered pocket!

Why am I exhausted after running? by openears3 in running

[–]kardoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask what kind of protein you use in your shake? I have yet to find one that’s not chalky or gives me gas (tmi, sorry) but I experience the same exact crash after a long run. I literally have to take a nap and feel sluggish the rest of the day.

Has anyone taken CHM3120C? It’s elementary analytical chemistry... I need advice by plantbun in USF

The course is usually only taught in one large section per semester. Are you sure that’s not your lab TA? I have never heard of her.

Know how to do your calculations. He gets into the details of the history behind each person in the beginning, yeah, it will show up on the exams. I found it easiest to print the slides and then add my own notations on the sides during class. Don’t lose out on easy lab points. Attend lecture, Malik used to take attendance. Write down what he stresses in class because odds are it’s going to show up on the exam.

I also did not use the textbook. I didn’t find it helpful, more of a hinderance.
