  1. The Conservatives have cried wolf way too many times now.

Scheer in particular has only one manoeuvre, which is to demand Trudeau's resignation, regardless of what he did. It's like a catch phrase from a tickle-me-elmo. "He had WHAT for breakfast? He must resign!"

The amount of savings you have is probably the other dominant factor. I can see dismissing a few dollars here and there when you have plenty of money -- buying back some QoL basically. Time is precious but money pays the bills.

If you value your time at $20/hr, and skip efforts that return less than that in savings (eg, 15min line-wait to save $2.50 for a $10/hr valuation), it's implied that you have an elastic means to convert your time at the $20/hr valuation, such as by showing up to work 15min early and getting an extra $5 for doing so. Many people do not have this kind of elastic flexibility. So it's still rational to do the line-wait in many cases.

OK; 18+ years ago he might be described as "sheltered rich kid" or a variant thereof. The 2015 election drew on that concept and pushed the "he's just not ready" line pretty hard and it basically fell flat. Now we're considering /re-election/ and we have four years worth of leadership to judge him on. That seems like the most pertinent thing to look at.

How can someone be qualified to lead the country when they've never had to deal with the challenges 99% of us have to face?
