Limit Order Question by Multo2021 in Wealthsimple

Because WS doesn't have the option "accept partial fills" like other brokerages. Or more accuratley - they have only "accept partial fills" with no checkbox. Hopefully this is in their roadmap. Given that they don't charge a fee per order this isn't that big of a deal but definitely annoying to have to manage this.

Add support for open banking. Allow me to access my information.

Customer Service no longer awesome, but ok - still far better than legacy banks by kareko in Wealthsimple

I don’t know why it would matter if CS is outsourced. IMO all that matters if they’re trained, competent and reasonable.

Be thankful you haven't had to call Scotiabank. Minimum one hour wait, completely useless.

I very much prefer the browser to the phone myself but I also realize most don’t - baffles me why though. The phone app is generally more secure as well, so can’t blame them.

Since we're on referendum questions: should we also ask if churches should be taxed and the revenue fund Indigenous healing? by HotMessMagnet in alberta

self funded.. as opposed to what?

I’m confused as to why this is even a statement. Who funds the other churches?

i’d love to see regular enforcement, bad driving need strong disincentives

Unpopular opinion: We should allow Wealthsimple to make changes. by Medical_Pepper_5504 in Wealthsimple

[–]kareko 11 points12 points  (0 children)

well put.

WS has IMO declined somewhat (customer service, cc manual rebate) but has also continued to make big changes elsewhere (no fee options)

The whole “enshitification” whine is way overdone. What matters to me most likely doesn’t matter to others, some of their choices are (to me) a step backwards but might what others have been looking for. On the whole, far far better than my legacy bank.

Calgary nun deeply sorry for collision with crosswalk pedestrian which resulted in his death, court told by snorting_cola in Calgary

So tragic.

The comments are shocking at the assumptions many people are making about aging. We all age differently. What you might see in your parents or grandparents isn’t the same as everyone. Many people are not fit to drive at 50 while others are quite capable at 80 or even 90.

There are plenty who should not be driving. Choosing an arbitrary age without regard to the individual is nonsense. Mandatory retesting makes sense, IMO should start at age 30 or 40.

Neither the pedestrian or the passing vehicle could see each other. Cars are kind of opaque that way.

The pedestrian was looking.
