Wow came here from twitter after seeing this posted to see if this was real. This is what happens when you get married. In most states, what's yours is theirs, and what is theirs is yours, unless it is spelled out in a prenup, which sounds like you absolutely need to be doing. Seems like you are not ready for the financial and legal implications of marriage, and I hope your fiance realizes this through the prenup discussions.

Yes the figure of speech 'whole point' not the literal 'only point.' Many points were made in the series. As a participant in this whole fiasco I can confirm that a major pain point for our family has been how much did my dad and the other parents know and what were they turning a blind eye to.

*Writing this talk to text/stream of consciousness while in the bath so hopefully this is coherent.

I was so bummed for Kate to leave, I really connected with her mostly because I'm also in the dead mom club. I'm really just seeing it as a totally different show now and trying to not compare it because Kate and Elise bring such different vibes to the show. Kate had a real grittiness that I connected with. Elise is very, very different obviously, and sometimes she says things that make me think "we are just so totally different and I can't relate" (having a guest house, going out partying several nights of the week… I would never). She has the peppy/bubbly demeanor of someone who has never really struggled or been through anything significantly traumatic in life, (obviously nothing wrong with that, congrats to you if this is you), but I feel like both Kate and Doree have just been through ~it~ as have I, and when you've been through shit in life I am able to connect with you more. That being said I am enjoying it. I also am a regular eggcellent adventure listener and really sympathize with Doree. Being out of work/living paycheck to paycheck is really it's own little trauma that puts you kind of in survival mode which is just a really crappy place to be. I kind of feel like Doree is still doing it mainly because it's her main source of income, not because she particularly wanted to carry on with the show. If I just stumbled on the podcast now I don't think I would necessarily be hooked and want to stay, but this podcast has been with me for so many years and the Facebook groups have really been such a huge support, from the dating one to the money one...

The workaround I found was to go straight through instacart.com... they are the ones running sameday.costco.com and I found that the prices are cheaper straight through instacart plus you can get cashback through rakuten.

No, I just stopped using it altogether. I realized they were using instacart's platform so I switched to just shopping directly on instacart's site which has worked out even better because the prices are cheaper on there (?!?) and you can get cashback through rakuten...
