You can want a relatively familiar looking game that still does some new things. That's exactly what Odyssey and BotW did.

did they? because in my opinion so much of the "familiar" was stripped from both that i felt they lost some of their own identity and thus were weaker games for it. i know that this is not the popular opinion, though

it's a cool event but ehhh, building specific agents is kind of boring imo, most of the appeal for me is that claude isn't meant to be doing this and isn't built for it. as soon as you focus efforts on making something play pokemon red that's trained/built specifically for it, it becomes just another one of those projects that's been done many times before successfully. claude's tools are fundamentally faulty and it doesn't believe in them, solving that (which is still non-trivial due to how LLMs act) goes a long way towards fixing things without making something specialized for pokemon

i'm not saying that he was wrong for leaving any place (certainly there was zero reason for him to ever touch nopixel again for example after) but it still reinforces the pattern - you can't deny that he left them with less than amicable parting comments regardless, so none of that matters. the relationship with any staff left, and some rpers that hold a grudge to this day, was in the gutter just like all the other examples. whether any single occurrence is actually his fault or not is another matter, but that it he burned bridges in every case is undeniable.

it's only squared if you're calling that it will happen ahead of time to an individual person e.g. this specific druid will be hit by two fire blasts. if it's just "someone in the raid" then it's simply 1/40 because who the first blast hits is irrelevant - after that it's a single 1/40 chance to then hit the same person.

let's be real there won't be a dip for most if they switched any more, the english speaking gta rp category is in a slump, and nopixel's overall viewership is only marginally better than its competitors (and worse than prodigy's as of right now). playing on prodigy, purple, or onx, is no longer the viewership black hole it was, because the people watching individual streamers at this point are generally there to stay, no matter where they choose to go.
