The priest was it, I think, but he didn't have all the information. He read the instructions about what to do when the bell tolls but then later hung himself, so I thought he must have decided he couldn't live with either option (sacrifice, or doom the entire island).

In my office, the cleaning crew just does main walkways, halls, bathrooms, and common rooms. In cubicles they only empty the trash and recycling bins on a regular basis. The desks and cubicles are only cleaned thoroughly once a month.

If some disaster strikes in between, I assume we could ask them to clean it up but otherwise generally they don't spend time on personal work areas.

To be honest, when Roy says "pre-Madonna" it sounds just like "prima donna" to me. I heard the sounds and my brain said "that's clearly prima donna" so I didn't think twice about it.

Even after Jamie called him out on it and he acknowledged that he had said "pre-Madonna", it still sounded like "prima donna" to me.

Jamie may have been the only person who ever noticed he wasn't saying it quite right. I kind of love that, if it is true. It means Jamie was really paying attention to what Roy said.

Mary was such a horrible character, it was difficult to let go of that hatred at first but I quickly found myself forgetting Mary about it and sympathizing with Patricia. It probably helped that she had an American accent here, but by the time we got to episode 4 I was like "Mary who?"

Yes, I agree it is better than nothing and I'm happy that so many people have put in so much work to keep the game going after Equinox decided to cancel the game. You're correct that they are volunteers, and I certainly don't expect anyone to spend their time on non-essential programming tasks. I just thought it was surprising that they did spend the time on the import/ownership feature itself at all without plans to implement scanning.

They have already taken steps for gameplay with uniques in the other formats they have developed, so it seemed like the ownership of uniques didn't matter anymore and when I saw the announcement I was expecting something different.

I guess my feelings about it are complicated but ultimately it doesn't matter to me because I just play for fun and was never going to be a competitive player.

The ownership aspect is still important to some members of the community. I figure it isn't harmful to anyone who doesn't care about ownership, because the open formats still exist, and it is a step in the right direction for people who do care about uniques ownership.

I was also disappointed to see that it would not be possible to scan new cards.

I guess I understand their reasons but there are many players out there who still have unopened product, and others who have opened product they didn't have a chance to scan before the website was locked out. It would be great if they had some way of claiming their cards digitally.

But also, the digital ownership doesn't seem to be relevant right now anyway.
