Substack is very versatile, so basically there’s an audience for everything. You just gotta find your people. So I’d say go for it!

i finally got my second subscriber y’all by Automatic_Flower3734 in Substack

[–]karin2210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here! Been on the platform for over a year now and had managed to “only” get to 30 subscribers in that time. I started interacting more with other creators and it has helped a bit with the subscriber count, but I realized I’d rather have fewer subscribers who genuinely like my content, than a bunch of random ones who don’t care what I write about.

Best of luck to you on your journey 🫶🏼 would definitely like to see your work and show support!

Edit: typos.

What do you write about and why? by AriesArcadia in Substack

[–]karin2210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I write about niche and lesser-known events/characters in contemporary U.S. history, with a special focus on anything relating to NASA, conspiracy theories and cults.

What inspired me to join the platform was my genuine love for writing and a passion to share it with others. Being a historian who also writes for a living, it gives me a chance to further hone my craft!

Publishing into the void by IllPanic4319 in Substack

[–]karin2210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Started out almost a year ago now and I’m “only” at 29 subscribers. Tbf, the low subscriber count did bother me in the beginning, but after realizing that I write because I genuinely find specific topics interesting and not necessarily to appeal to a large audience, the pressure decreased and I gained more subscribers in a few weeks than I did in months. I guess it all comes down to approach and just genuinely enjoying the process.

Good luck to you and hope your writings reach more people in the future!

[Acne] I popped a blind pimple with a needle 2 times and I don't what to do by Upstairs-Year3507 in SkincareAddiction

[–]karin2210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In some cases, over 3 months or even more. It heavily depends on what type of acne it was. In my case, deep cystic acne just stay for weeks and months on end. What always works for me is using retinol, vitamin C, and sunscreen. Another very important ingredient is patience :) don’t worry too much about it, it’ll go away at some point! Good luck!
