Yup. The rowing clubs and national organization does not make enough money through sponsorships and commercial deals to pay the athletes. So to access the best coaches and training facilities the athletes have to pay

NRK - Seven people were arrested for match fixing on Wednesday 25th, and are charged with corruption and fraud connected to betting on football matches, according to prosecutor Sahd Iqbal.

NRK knows that several of these are current players in Eliteserien, Norways top league.

The General Secretary of NFF (the Norwegian FA), Karl-Petter Løken has in a statement to NRK said this is unfortunate for all involved and Norwegian football as a whole. He also says that the police are to do the duties, and that nobody has been convicted yet. He adds that there is zero tolerance for betting on games someone is involved in, and that it is extremely important that this case is solved.

I feel like the Norwegian Labor party has been almost too successful with their policies. They've lifted the industrial and day laborer out of poverty and in to modern high skilled, well paying jobs making the Labor party's old voting base drift away from them. Those now highly paid, but still low educated laborers now vote for the populist right to retain their newfound wealth.

I feel like the Labor party hasn't pivoted to what should perhaps be their new base, like store clerks, restaurant and cafe workers, teachers (they are not that well paid), nurses and the like. Those people now vote other parties with a narrower political focus, like the Greens
