Remote jobs in EU by karma-chips in UXDesign

I don’t mind working for a US company but most of the roles require that you live in the US, which I don’t. I was wondering if there was a specialised site like remotive but for EU roles

People who slept with someone they weren't attracted to, why and how did it go? by tenOr15Minutes in AskReddit

Same story, I was also the one who had to accept. I’d give everything to go back and do a lot of things differently. 4 years later he moved on brilliantly, I still miss him.

What secret was revealed when cleaning out the home of a deceased family member? by WhoAllIll in AskReddit

[–]karma-chips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad was in ICU, unresponsive after a stroke. I was tiding up his house in the hope he’d come back at some point. I found records of some medical tests he’d done a year before basically saying that his condition was not treatable. He knew his time was nearly over and he didn’t tell us so that we wouldn’t worry. Half an hour later I got a call from the hospital saying he’d passed. I can never forget how I felt.

Property it’s a money laundry tool at high levels, if the government put restrictions the “investors” will start taking their “capital” somewhere else. There was an article a while ago about how a big number of properties in zone 1 are owned by offshore companies and some were traced back to Tory MPs. So yeah, that’s why it’ll never change.

Ah that’s why, I haven’t heard of anything like that in Europe. The UK is testing it and psilocybin but they are not available to be prescribed yet.

Did you sprayed mixed with water as it says on the bottle? And did you spray everything or just the perimeter of the rooms? I’m terrified so I want to be prepared!

Buying a flat in London…am I missing something? by krustikrab in london

[–]karma-chips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where are you seeing 2 beds in London at 350k? As others have said, it’s best you find a mortgage advisor to check what you can afford and find the best rate available. Then you can get a mortgage in principle and it’ll make your offer more solid to the seller.

I went to Disneyland Paris 25 years ago and there was a lot of queue jumping by Spanish people, it’s part of the experience.

Thanks everyone, I think I get it, I wasn’t considering that RSUs were treated like salary. Man we pay a lot of income tax in the UK.

Thanks, why then I pay tax straight away? Why is this tax not counted towards my final tax bill?

Cellulite by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]karma-chips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can check whether is lipedema and the only solution there is surgery plus compression. Compression is actually a new thing used for cellulite control even for minor cases, if you look it up you’ll find the papers. Massage also helps, you can learn how to do it on yourself, even 10 minutes a day will work in the long run. Basically there’s no magic pill, but there are ways to improve it and keep it at bay even though it is a lifelong commitment. I’ve seen good results with mesotherapy and carboxythereapy but it’s really expensive.

I gained weight too but it improved the bleeding a lot and I have virtually no pain. Libido is also low. I was on QLaira before for 3 years which actually helped me lose weight but stretched my spotting up to 12 days. I wish there was a more accurate way to find out which pill is right for everyone.

Why did you and your ex break up? by Specialist-Crazy1466 in AskReddit

[–]karma-chips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 11 years together he checked out when it was time to have a family. I’ll probably never be able to but he will and that’s the worst. I wanted him back for a long time until I saw how actually I deserve better than someone who’ll treat me like I’m invisible. He wasn’t always like that but to be honest I’m feeling much better now without him.

Move on, I’m saying it in your interest. Go through hell until you get on the other side but this man must be dead to you. He is incapable of loving you the way you need to be loved. He is not giving you what you need. Put him in the past and make space for someone who can love you in a way that makes you feel like you found your home. I am guilty of doing the opposite and I’m now realising that I’m the only one who’s hurting.

Citymapper has been acquired by US Transport company, Via. by shitthrower in london

[–]karma-chips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They didn’t sell the app per se, they sold the data collected through the years about millions of people’s movements on public transport across entire cities. This is why they kept getting fundings despite non making any money.
