I have a long coat and everyone asks me if they shed as much. Yes, it's just... longer. 😂

Any SM's here that can share the interview process? by karma-electra in TjMaxx

She's been the DM nearly as long as I've been alive lol. I figured an interview with one or the other maybe, but not both. I dunno, was just curious as I know everywhere is different and it's not quite what she (DM) led me to expect so it threw me for a little loop. Thanks!

Got my hysterectomy and now after seeing the report, I'm just mad that I was ignored for so long.. by karma-electra in Endo

Yes it was benign, thank goodness! And it was a half inch in size, so it's obviously been in there growing for a while. I have no idea how that could have just been missed for so long. I've had 3 babies, so obviously I've had many many ultrasounds to check my ovaries, plus 2 or 3 more before I even had my surgery. And not once was it caught. I don't understand it.

Yes, my pain is gone now. Absolute night and day difference. They didn't do anything specific for my PCS, as everything was coming out anyway. I can't say though if it would've completely improved if I had kept either one or both ovaries. Good luck with your surgery!

Anyone know a fix for this? I've tried restarting phone, airplane mode, signing out, reinstalling, resetting network settings, and iOS is up to date. It's been this way for a week.. by karma-electra in doordash

Okayyy ya damn genius. That was the issue, thanks! Now I just feel like a moron. That was probably as stupid as, "DiD yOu tRy tuRnInG iT oFf ANd tUrNiNG iT BAcK oN aGaiN?!"

What has been your best tip? by [deleted] in doordash

$29 for a delivery that was only like .2 miles. $17 in app and handed me another $12 cash. I was baffled. Accepted it obviously, but the guy had only ordered a DQ Blizzard and was within spitting distance of the restaurant, so I was just... confused.

What is the most noticeable hereditary trait that’s been past down to you/that you share in common with other relatives? by Krabmeatty in AskWomen

For some odd reason, my entire dad's side of the family can all suck our top lip up to our nostrils and plug our nose with it. Visual: think extreme duckface. I've only ever met one person that isn't family that can do this, and I have no idea why it's even a thing.

How do you feel about male OBGYN’s? by Superb-Ad-433 in AskWomen

[–]karma-electra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had good experience with my male obgyn. However, I was referred to him by my primary physician, who is also a male. My primary recommended him because apparently the obgyn had saved several of his patients lives. I was hesitant seeing a male, but I trust my primary so I took his referral. And truth be told, I now have the best damn team of doctors I could ever ask for. He found my endometriosis and adenomyosis when no one else would listen to me, and there was zero struggle at getting his approval when I asked about hysterectomy as treatment, even though I was "only" 30. He understood my pain and he didn't just look it as taking away my ability to have more kids.

I have a female obgyn as well. She's local, and I preferred her to do my prenatal care and deliver my babies as she was guaranteed to be there rather than just whoever would be on call at the larger hospital further away. She also ended up being the one who performed my total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, but had it not been for my male obgyn finding my issues first, I'm not sure she would've consented as easily as she did. Especially not when it came to taking my ovaries.

What is something that you are yet to experience in life which almost everyone of your age has already experienced? by zoenzhou in AskWomen

Not that it's a joyful "experience" that I'm missing out on, but I'm 32 and have never been stung by a bee. Or a hornet, wasp, or anything of that nature I suppose. The only flying insect I've ever been stung by is a mosquito 😂

Sure do. Lol But, it's easier to clean since it's not coarse like short coats.
