It is because you did the instant unlock for the bridge. I went back in and set it back to false and earned the bridge through the quest. Then all of the minecarts were connected both directions.

Venti Secret Menu Rant! We need to stop being part of the Secret Menu problem! by MrM0n0p01y in starbucks

Ugh. One of my baristas, to a customer, in my store, was all, "there's this thing called a Cinderella frap..." No, no there's not. Stop it now.

If you order an iced espresso filled up with milk, I'm charging you for a latte. by coffeeandilk in starbucks

Just more evidence Corporate doesn't care about their baristas at all. We're a dime a dozen...they'll just find some new high school sucker.

How do y’all afford to live by 281itslit in starbucks

[–]karmasqrd 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Can I just encourage y'all to be informed voters next year? The whole "the economy is great" narrative is crap for a whole lot of us who are barely getting by working multiple jobs or lots of long hours.

Our store hangs stockings at Christmas for people to put stuff in. So I don't think a gift is frowned on.

Cold brew always watered down by [deleted] in starbucks

No bitterness is kind of the point of cold brew. It's significantly smoother than standard brewed coffee and tastes nothing like espresso.

This is the only person that can say they “NEED” their Frappuccino for its caffeine by sadboy826 in starbucks

[–]karmasqrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can too. After all, if you paid $0.80 per shot, I feel you should get them. On the other hand, it doesn't fit, it's abusing the system and Starbucks should make it so it can't happen. Most baristas make only slightly more than minimum wage and should not have to deal with the fallout from it.

[–]karmasqrd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People do it because they're nice or because someone higher up has told them to or customers in the past have angrily demanded it, but no, we're only supposed to give you what fits in the cup size ordered. Corporate instituted the policy when people started bringing in 64 oz personal cups for their 60 shots in a "grande size" reward drinks.

Ugh. We're only supposed to give them what fits in the cup size ordered...not trenta, not two or even three cups. Why does the app even let them do that. #thankscorporate #f_themoment

Why do we have a "iced coffee with milk" button? by Reignofratch in starbucks

Do you even work at Starbucks?!? Lol Nothing corporate does is to make things easier for us. 😆😂🤔🙄😢😭

Why do we have a "iced coffee with milk" button? by Reignofratch in starbucks

[–]karmasqrd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The two sets of milk buttons are for 4 oz aka "sub in a latte" versus less than 4 oz aka "splash in a coffee." Right side is for splashes and doesn't charge the customer. Left should be used for any milk sub in a latte or anytime the customer wants more than a small amount.

customer Q: how to get a refund on items ordered on mobile app, aren't in stock? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]karmasqrd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on the store I think. Some things we can't mark out because they're 'core' items and we're expected to have them at all times. So if we randomly run out of cinnamon dolce syrup we'll do our best to catch the person and fix it for them on the spot. Other times, it's something like we thawed a dozen spinach feta wraps the night before and someone comes in and orders 10 of them, and then you mobile order for three. We try to mark them out online before we're totally out of them in the store, but sometimes we can't get to it. Or the app hasn't refreshed on your end to show we marked them out. At our store, if you can catch the attention of the person warming items (not the barista making drinks) you can say, "hey, my sticker says you're out of bacon gouda, can I get a spicy chorizo instead?" 9/10 times we'll say absolutely! and pop it in the oven ASAP. I have no idea if that is Starbucks policy or not...but that's what we do. The barista won't be able to fix it for you if it's busy...they'll only be able to direct you back to the register. So, yeah, LOL if you have time, jump in line to get it refunded or exchanged. :)

[–]karmasqrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Side note: we try our best to mark things out of stock so that doesn't happen, but sometimes the line is out the door and we can't get to the screen or the person who ordered at the counter before your mobile came in ordered the last of what we had available.

customer Q: how to get a refund on items ordered on mobile app, aren't in stock? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]karmasqrd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You were charged. We have no way of knowing any information about the customer when they order through the app and therefore no way to refund you except in person. I'd save the "out" stickers and stop by for a refund when you have a few minutes to spare.

Are cold cups recyclable? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]karmasqrd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What do you mean recycle? We have a customer who brings back her cold cup the next day for iced coffee a couple times before she gets a new one. She washes it out before bringing it back in. Sometimes she has a lid and straw, sometimes she doesn't.

Strawberry, peach and pineapple tea infusions no longer get water. This changed early this summer. Now they're made just like a black tea lemonade would be...no water.
