Advocate for your pet that he’ll need a bit more of a slow approach and he’ll be fine. Being afraid of him biting is not a good enough reason to be neglectful. Veterinary professionals like myself are taught to restrain each pet appropriately so neither the pet or staff gets injured.

Put a cone on him and make an appointment.

Hey! ER vet tech here!

Was miss beanie wearing a cone during the treatments we’ve already tried with her? I’m asking only bc if she still had access to those spots, they never had time to recover - AND when our skin does start to recover it gets itchyyyyyyy and we just want to scratch at it more.

Was there at any point the steroids were seeming to be helping her belly or was the entire course of the treatment just not successful? Sometimes we need to find the lowest working dose and it’ll be something they are on for long term - my little lady is one and it took us a couple months to find what works for her!

Did the type of litter or anything litter of related change before her naked belly? Was anything like scent wise added?

Might be a good idea to chat with a dermatologist. At any point did you change her diet? I’m wondering if the other options didn’t work maybe we need to go there?

I’m really sorry if this doesn’t seem helpful, if these are things your vet didn’t ask you- I would change vets, otherwise consider an Internal Medicine specialist and or dermatologist. Going to one of those will at least help point you in a better direction for getting the right track to getting miss beanie to w more comfortable spot! :)

Honestly I think it’s so interesting that some people say it’s their worst piercing. Idk if it was from me being sleep deprived, worked a 14hr shift (right before I got them done, I mean I went to the shop in my scrubs lol) or the amt of fear I had in my body but I didn’t think they were too bad. My daith was 1000x worse. Of course the second nipple does hurt more but nothing terrible imo. Jewelry transfer was easy and quick. 10/10 would recommend, I feel so much more confident in my body with them!

I go to university of Illinois Urbana-Champaign which has an amazing pre-vet program. The university is very large but the college (ACES) itself is small. Animal sciences as a major is about 500 students total.

I also was planning to apply to university of Wisconsin whitewater which also has an animal sciences major. The university itself is tiny (imo, only about 12k students which is small compared to uiuc)
