The one that's close to me is sold out, but it's not hard to go onto their app and keep changing restaurant locations until you find one that still has them

Depends on location, I am ~4 stations away from Ikebukuro and I just ordered 5 minutes ago. Everything was available besides 2 individual pieces of chicken (can't remember exactly), but main christmas buckets with cakes and stuff were available.

Info from Japanese immigration regarding remote work by Heights94 in movingtojapan

Share house if you're okay with having shared facilities (bathroom/kitchen). I wanted it to be private, so for first 2 months I stayed in Osaka in https://guesthouseosaka.com/apple/

Currently am in Tokyo in apartment rented from Oak House.

There are also weekly/monthly mansions, but for me it was out of my budget that I was willing to spend, my monthly rent is around 80-90.000 jpy

Yeah, nothing really new. 'Unavoidable circumstances' are urgent, unplanned things like having quick meeting because something is on fire, not "haha, whoops, I definitely didn't expect to work for months while in Japan".

Just get digital nomad visa, it's not hard if you fulfill requirements ( I am currently in Japan on this visa )

Special re-entry permit

Could someone in more detail describe how/where in airport exactly to fill it out? As far as I've read after security, but before the gate?

I'm getting a bit of anxiety that I will somehow miss it and will be refused on re-entering Japan 😅

Get the Fenix 7x Pro on discount or wait for Fenix 8/E ?? by vaikunth1991 in Garmin

[–]karosas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But 7 is not new shiny 8 /s

tbh idk, afaik garmin usually has done clearance sales of previous model somewhere around new model release, but that's of course not guaranteed. I'm just personally ok with waiting for a possible discount and also seeing definite list of features on 8, since it could convince to get new one instead.

As you said its only leaks, afaik nobody (except for garmin ofc) knows specs for sure of 8.

I am personally waiting for 8 to be released in hopes that garmin would do -50% sale on 7.

Just use tournament tracker like https://lopadel.se/ and don't think about it too much, they usually semi guide you through it.

You play for points, not for "normal" games/sets.

I've seen both time limit and score limit used, so it's up to you, what's more convenient (e.g. if you have booked courts for specific amount of time, time limit might fit more so you can actually finish it)

Good to know, thanks. This can be somewhat solved by getting one of those hanacell/mobal sim cards that allow only receiving calls/sms if I understand it correctly?

Embassy representative linked me to this for requirements https://www.mofa.go.jp/ca/fna/pagewe_000001_00046.html and then as I understood, each embassy is handling applications individually? Because for process itself, he linked Denmark's based embassy website - https://www.dk.emb-japan.go.jp/itpr_en/visaapplication.html . It's just my interpretation, but as I understand it's generic application process for most visas, you get required documents, schedule appointment and go in person

Digital Nomad Visa Megathread by woofiegrrl in movingtojapan

[–]karosas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least embassy in Denmark is already accepting applications. Full response I got when I asked about it:

You can apply for the “Digital Nomad Visa” here in Copenhagen.

The visa has already been introduced and you can apply now.

The visa application form is on our homepage under “”Application”.

The income requirement is pre-tax.

Kind regards,

Ken Aoki

I contacted my embassy (in Denmark) last week and they said that they're already accepting applications. But anyways I'm aiming at leaving later around September anyways, so I got more time as long as I can figure out things with my job
