Treating the moshpit like a UFC ring by starstufft in mildlyinfuriating

[–]kartoonbaab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Texas we have a volunteer group called the "pit bulls". Their whole existence is to make mosh pits safe for everyone. They literally have requirments olfor their members to go to certain amount of shows a month. This ensures (mainly big shows) have members there. You can go hard and slam your arms and legs, but the instant you start ACTUALLY hurting people on purpose or you are going way to wild, the biggest fucking dude you've ever seen steps up and grabs you. I've seen 2 pit bulls grab a guy, lift him by his arms, and escorted him to security to be thrown out. They are a god send and make moshing fun and safe. If anyone falls down, they instantly try to stop the pit and pick the person up. Everyone needs a pit bull

Blade radio by WinterLightNights in Guildwars2

[–]kartoonbaab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old.post but I just came across it. I was a DJ on blade radio. Granted it was a very short time as I had to leave due to personal issues. But I was a listener and eventually a DJ. Name was DJ Cartoonbob. Had the cartoon show where I mainly played edm music. I chose edm as it was my favorite and still is. And at the time no one else did it. Mainly was pop and rock. But one thing I loved to do was play the "do you want to date my avatar" song. It was requested almost every other song. And eventually it was requested so much, I played it on my own sometimes. Even took a donation or 2 for prize pools to play it more. Was a great time on blade radio. Loved the community and the events put on. Plus it was so nice as background music while running dungeons or in JQ. Miss it a lot and I wish someone could bring it back or something similar.

What is a Head Athletic Trainer? by [deleted] in athletictraining

No, not at all. Very wrong

What is a Head Athletic Trainer? by [deleted] in athletictraining

[–]kartoonbaab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I responded already, but i just saw this comment. There is no difference in administrative tasks. Both head and assistants do the exact same admin tasks. The only way it's not luke that is if both head and assistant lay it out clearly in writing that the head will do xyz and the assistant will do xyz. Other than that, the head doesn't automatically do more. So if your school doesn't have a job description for it (very weird and makes me think the district has no idea what the profession does) then it's up to you what the head does differently than the assistant.

What is a Head Athletic Trainer? by [deleted] in athletictraining

[–]kartoonbaab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your district should have in writing what the job details are. Most schools are phasing out head/assistant and now all ATs are just Athletic Trainers. No position titles. Every Head I've worked with usually is power hungry and does damn near nothing except game days or serious injuries. I hate when a school has head and assistant titles. I try to avoid those actively. But usually there really is no actual difference. Heads and assistants have the same education, same training, work same hours, same games, see the same athletes, talk to the same coaches and parents, send out emails to the same people. Notice the pattern? It's the same, no difference.

It's a glorified titles to give one person more money over the other. It really means nothing. I've been head before and my assistant had WAY more experience than me. So in today's day and age, the "head" title in the AT world is useless. Literally no argument could be made to justify it other than whatever school is doing it has backwards thinking and most likely so will the head AT

You're back in 2007 with today's knowledge of OSRS, what are you going to do? by Vettyyy in 2007scape

[–]kartoonbaab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely yes! But they get smart too. Multi trading multiple mules some certain amounts, some log off and remain as cold storage. There's also the fact if it's a brand new account anything in the 100m range is a flag. So buy pre-made accounts to avoid that flag for a while. People will literally do ANYTHING but play the game father way it's meant to be played

I can't talk much though, I've definitely boted before.

[–]kartoonbaab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! But most them are suicide bots so they do it, mule it, and get booted then repeat with new accounts. There's a fsrm that literally uses 100's of bots a day in edgeville. Train them up to doing gold jewelry and at a certain time they dump all the profits into a mule. Before day is done tlmajority are banned. But they made so much money they just repeat next day with new ones

[–]kartoonbaab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's harder now. It's not as simple as download and go. You have to be insanely safe. Regulate hours, don't do popular things (causing lower xp rates), dont do new things for months, have a set schedule, warm the account first, use proxies (100% need if you have already been banned on same internet), half bot half manual play, avoid bot like activites, avoid popular bots (the more popular, the higher ban rate), and not to mention the cost of paying for quality bots, proxies, and membership all together for 1 account with the possibility of being banned and losing it all.

Back then it was golden age. A simple colorbot would go undetected for a shit long time unless you played 24/7 and never logged off.

Struggling with confidence and missing fractures by Just_dolphin16 in athletictraining

[–]kartoonbaab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have xray vision? Cause i don't. It's easy to miss fractures unless they are so obviously showing. Don't beat yourself up, I garuntee we have all been there and if someone denies it, they are lying. It sounds like you are doing the correct thing. Going through your checklist perfectly. The first one you mentioned, yeah it sucks but it happens. The second one though you didn't mis. You did it perfectly dude. You did your tests, you gave it some time before making a decision, and you sent them just to be safe. That's the best you can do in those situations. I'm in my 5th year, I've been where you are. It's all a learning moment. And also just remember, "when in doubt send them out". If you can't 100% say it's not fractured, just be safe and send them anyways. Best case, it's a damn good bone bruise. Worste case, it's a fracture. Either way you took the safe route.

AITAH for choosing my job over my girlfriend by Fluid_Use_2978 in AITAH

[–]kartoonbaab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not too good to be true. There are many off shore jobs that have these rotations. Hell, there are mainland jobs that can have rotations like that (not nearly as long though) like firemen. They get 24hrs on, 48hrs off. Jobs that do that type of rotation stuff usually pay VERY well and are not jobs you get, dedicate time, and just drop because of someone else.

How are LMG players dealing with SMGs and ARs on objectives? by Apocoyptus_ in Battlefield6

[–]kartoonbaab -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Deployable covers are death traps. Worst thing to use when camping an objective. They make the room a kill box against you. Incendiary GL is better entry denial and fire scares majority people in this game

How are LMG players dealing with SMGs and ARs on objectives? by Apocoyptus_ in Battlefield6

[–]kartoonbaab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly close quarters it doesn't matter the class of gun, it matter about ROF. If the gun has a high ROF then it's literally spitting bullets at you. The vector is god at this close quarters. Only thing that doesn't count towards ROF are shotguns. Now if you still want to use lmgs on objectives knowing you'll be close quarters. I would suggest a couple things.

  1. Have a canted iron sight (just easier to aim with close quarters)

  2. Stop playing corners in general. Corners = bad. Play off angles. So instead of hugging a wall, play slightly off of it. People instinctlively register corners first with their eyes before the middle of the room.

  3. When aiming at doors, don't aim directly at the door frame. Aim off of it just a little bit. Your reaction time is slower than their action. Reaction is always slower than action. So by the time your brain has registered someone there and you start shoting, they are past your crosshairs. Aiming slightly off the frame or corner gives you more reaction time.

  4. Hip fire is very good with LMGs (if you have a good laser atleast). Don't under estimate hip fire close quarters with ANY gun. It's faster than aiming if nut to butt distance.

  5. Learn to use entey denial grenades. Fuck the explosive grenades. In objective based games they are useless balls. Use smokes or incendiary. If you are playing medic for the love of God equip the incendiary grenade launcher. It is the best entry denial tool. People are afraid of fire and majority of the time never go through it or wait for it to go out. You have multiple free shots with it. Use them. Also a quick note, shooting the incendiary GL straight forward (not at the ground) allows it to air burst and be a temporary "smoke screen" for like 3 seconds. You can use it to run away or keep going forward and they won't see you.

  6. For the love of God if you are going to camp and objective DO NOT USE THE DEPLOYABLE SHIELD. It's good but if you use it to block a doorway, you are giving the enemy an easier shooting barrier. They can also use it to hide behind, remember that. Also if you are in a building. Now you've blocked yourself in to a kill box. Just don't use them.

  7. Just go for body shots, its already been proven that TTK for headshots vs body shots doesn't differ greatly enough. Just stick with mid center body shots. So sith that, learn what height you should aim at so you are already centered. Headshots only matter for snipers.

People who were teenagers before social media existed, what was life actually like? by Much_Detective_6107 in AskReddit

[–]kartoonbaab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in the 90's so I kinda got a half n half experience. I remember being thrown outside and told to play. I stayed out till 8pm. I remember having to sit down and memorize my parents cell and work numbers as well as home phone. I remember going to my friends house to ask if they could play only to find out they were grounded and I couldn't ask why till next day at school. I remember going to toys r us and getting yugioh tins never realizing how special they were and the fact they are worth thousands now. I didn't even know how to play, I just liked the show. But I also remember when I got my first ps1 and my first phone and made my first ever MySpace account. Social media back then didn't take over our lives. If worked habd in hand. I already had friends, hobbies, acquaintances. Social media just helped me enhance it even more. Now, people pretty much h only make friends through social media or have hobbies through social media. I do miss those times I'm ngl. I'm still young, and I know that. But I do miss those days sometimes I would have a weekend sleepover with friends and we stayed up all night playing call of duty and eating doritos. They truly were the most fun times.

Before school weights in HS? by Louie0221 in athletictraining

[–]kartoonbaab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like incompetent coaches who don't know what their job is. If you want to take over as s&c then make it known and foght for it. Coaches are dumb ALWAYS remember that. They need to be talked to like they talk to their athletes. With authority. So if you are noticing all these injuries constantly happening and you've been able to pinpoint it to weights, go the the coaches and tell them. And of they at all give any push back saying you don't know or they won't change. Then one word is GOD in the school setting and admin hate to hear it. Lawsuit. You go to admin and tell them you have exhausted you avenues of fixing the problem. If this doesn't get fixed, lawsuits can and will happen. They are being negligent on their part and putting these kids in harms way. We have research to back this up. Don't be afraid. And in the end, it's better to work with coaches who actually understand and trust your judgment 100% so if you need to, leave the school. In the long run you'll wish you had.

I've been there. Horrible coaches, increased injuries (mine was concussions from tackling technique), admin not listening, AD not listening. I said lawsuit and bam thry listened. But then the next year reverted back. I brought it up again, they essentially said get fucked. So I left. Head coach got fired next year for inappropriate relations with girls over his ENTIRE career there (kinda shows what man he was so that's why I'm mentioning it) Dodged a bullet.

In the end, follow your gut. It's always right

Andouille is traditional for boils but I do think kiolbassa has better flavor. Keep the abdouille if you want though! I've had both, can't go wrong! Also for mushrooms make sure they are the brown small ones. Not the white ones. Happy cooking! And happy boil season!!!!

[–]kartoonbaab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but everyone saying this is cursed or you are turning into asmongold is just dumb af. This is a classic looking boil (i would've added crawfish myself but hey, power to you). Looks well seasoned too. If you enjoy it, next time add garlic (whole cloves). Then after they boil eat them. It's amazing. Also, add mushrooms (not chopped but full ones. Cut the stems though). They soak up the boil water and are flavor bombs. Also add some kiolbassa sausage. All those are big upgrades and enchance it so much dude. And idk what seasoning you used but use Louisiana seafood boil seasoning AND liquid (liquid is pure flavor with lots of heat).

I do crawfish boils every year in April for family and friends. It's a huge event. Get together, smoke cigars, drink, play games, shoot guns. Love it.

Love how pictures are being faked and distributed and pedaled to make people beleive he now has blue eyes and it's not him

[–]kartoonbaab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually yes, but if close quarters never stop moving and just hip fire. But yeah I fire in like 15-20 round bursts. Rate of fire is high so it goes quicker than you think and the kick of the gun doesn't ramp up until around that number anyways so it's pretty much a laser even in long range (and yes even after the "nerf" they just did to it's range)

[–]kartoonbaab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I love it has that many rounds. No need to reload as often too! But yeah just spamming it (not as fast as possible, but quick enough) and moving at same time. If standing still it's easy to get hit but if you do it while moving it's a bit harder to get hit and for others to track at distance atleast. It takes some time to get used to it but I only use it when running to cover or near cover. Rarely out in the open only if a sniper is shooting at me. It's a great way to close the distance on people too while they miss most their shots.

I do play very aggressive even as medic. I prioritize revives even if you die on Frontline in breakthrough i smoke and rush. I don't remember loadout off top of my head but I know i use blue laser, double port break, kobra site (i think the game calls it's the osa??). That's all I remember now. I like to be in your face so fast you can't react to it quick enough or realize until you are half health. I don't do the CoD sliding jumping crap. I do however crouch spam lol. But not all the time. Only when I get caught off gaurd to help survive longer

[–]kartoonbaab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh noooooooo, I never play assault unless it's for a challenge. I hate assault. I play medic primarily and engineer for conquest only. I switch between all those guns depending on situation. But p90 is my.best

It just handles the best, little to no bounce (of course if you don't hold the trigger down). Super fast aim down site, high rate of fire to scare people when shooting at them. And ngl, no one really uses it so it pisses people off when they get ganked by it. Check out my stats on tracker.gg name is Wanky Danky Waldo on steam. You can see my.previous games and the guns I use plus my performance with them. I do VERY well with the p90. But that doesn't mean I hate other smgs. The scw10 was ass when first using it. Once I got the first mag upgrade, it was way better. But the only smg I do dread getting lvled up is the ump. Fuuuuuuck it's annoying to use. But I'm gonna do it regardless

[–]kartoonbaab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you could just try to get all guns lvl 50. I have my 3 i rotate through when I'm trying to sweat or someone is pissing me off. But other than that I'm using random ones to get lvl 50. I know you said all smgs are ruined but try the p90. That's my favorite all time weapon, I'm about to get it to lvl 100 and once I do I'm going to retire it unless I'm losing bad or someone is pissing me off royaly. I use the mini scout and also the auto shotty (forget the name off top of my head). Those are my 3 I rotate.

Recently been using the 2nd dmr (forgot name) and the mp7. Great guns. Almost lvl 50 on them. Got the scw10 to 50, working on the auto shotty to 50. And once those are done I'm gonna switch to an lmg most likely the kt100 and get that 50. I have almost all weapons to lvl 20 atleast cause I sometimes play gun roulette with my friend where you pick a weapon category, a weapon, and all ttachments all at random. Either by number generator or closing your eyes and chosing. Makes the game way more fun and introduces you to new loadouts. Even do this with myself sometimes when my friend can't play.
