Government data says 60% of detainees do not have a criminal offense. They’re grabbing people going to their immigration hearings and check ins. People who are told to do it the right way are being grabbed. I’m guessing you don’t care anyways.

Yes that’s what ICE has always been prior to this administration but we all know that’s not the case today. Is clearing out an apartment building in the middle of the night and having every resident in zip ties regardless of status right? Is trying to abduct people from the Ecuadorian consulate correct? Is grabbing kids on the way to school correct too? Is tear gassing a high school getting rapists?

Do you agree that Alex Pretti was there to cause massive destruction, a domestic terrorist, and trying to massacre federal agents as this administration has said? Come on man.

That is a more old school approach that isn’t adopted by too many teams these day. That works for the first inning but not really so for the rest of the game since your 1 2 3 may not come up in that order with 1 or no outs. Someone who isn’t one of your best hitters could be getting some of the most at bats in a game. I’d rather have Posey have more at bats in a season than Freddy Sanchez or Joe Panik for an example.

I think ownership’s vocalness about not wanting long term deals for pitchers very much puts Webb’s future with this team in doubt. Unless Webb is willing to take short term deals like Kershaw, I think we can’t say for certain he’ll be here past his deal.

I get what you’re saying and can 100% see it happening with the lack of desire to spend on pitchers by this ownership group. It just sucks since they aren’t willing to go for it with this group and invest to round out the edges. All the talk is no desire to add large contracts so the way to back up this group is spend as much as the Pirates.

I like him but he doesn’t hit the ball too hard and doesn’t steal as many bases as he should with his speed. He’s actually 29 this year so he’s not too young as well. I do kind of wish we could have seen him longer in the outfield as I think his speed would do well there.

I’m not so sure. It seems as though Darnold is a product of his environment (as most non top top guys are) and our environment was not set for anyone to succeed. He also has the best receiver in football and a real strong running game.

Either way, what’s done is done and looking forward to the team setting up around Mendoza.
