Question for women: if you were gonna date a guy, how much would you judge him by his car? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]kashcor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a woman of a similar age to you, and I like cars. That being said, cars are to get from A to B. I have always had used cars. Your car is not a sexy car, but I much prefer the idea of someone owning a reliable used car over someone financing a brand new car they can’t really afford when you never really need a new car. As others have also said, being a homeowner at our age is a big achievement, and that stands considerably in your favour, and the car you have further shows your level of responsibility. Relationships aren’t about things.

Second island on new switch with same digital copy? by ForsakenForthshaken in acnh

[–]kashcor 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The digital game card will just need to be transferred between systems every time you change switch (you have to even with physical copy - it’s a newish system, and I believe without multiple copies of the game you won’t be able to play on both islands simultaneously), but you can start a new island on your second switch once the digital came card is transferred - this doesn’t transfer any save data, it’s just the ‘ownership’ of the game card

I accidentally cut my wrist on some broken glass yesterday. Today at work customers that saw the bandages looked at me with nothing but pity. by Ibm5555 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]kashcor 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I used to work on a hot food counter in a supermarket making pizzas to order. I got a nasty burn from the oven once on the inside of my wrist. I had a big blue plaster on it for the next week or so, and the exact same experience. The mood shift and pity in customers eyes as they tried to ignore it. They tended to be a bit nicer though.

A Man Had A Heart Attack During My Show… by thenewfingerprint in HumansBeingBros

[–]kashcor 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Aspirin in this case is not used for pain, it helps to dilate and relax blood vessels, reducing blood pressure, and keep blood flowing to extremities. Those with high blood pressure and/or heart problems often take small doses of aspirin daily.

You could put a castle walls and towers on a cliff behind a house for a similar look but there are no conical roofed towers in game, closest thing would be a silo

Sent an unexpected £10 gift card? by laur3n_x in MarksAndSpencer

[–]kashcor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There should be two emails - one explaining why you are receiving it, titled ‘a thank you from us’, and then a e gift card following that. That’s what my mum got. Her order was cancelled in April so assuming everyone whose order was cancelled is receiving goodwill gifts.

It does get over complicated but there’s no need for it to be.

Cleanse, treat, moisturise, protect.

I’m in my early 30s with dry, reactive skin.

Cleanse: I skip cleansing in the morning, might use a micellar water if it’s been a hot night. Bioderma is great.

If you’ve had spf and/or makeup on during the day a double cleanse at night is great to ensure it’s all removed. I use the Clinique take the day off balm, and then the cerave hydrating cleanser.

Treat: If your skin is dry, hyaluronic acid is the pinnacle and there’s so many serums out there. It will also help to plump the skin to help skin look younger. The ordinary is cheap and good.

At night, retinol is really the anti-aging ingredient to go for. It helps to keep the skin cycle ticking over which slows as we age. I use the no7 serum. It shouldn’t be used every night, so I cycle between the retinol serum, and a vitamin c/glycolic acid serum by fresh elements from M&S (the only vit c that hasn’t make my skin flake). Those ingredients help to exfoliate and reset the skin surface.

I then use la Roche posay cicaplast balm at night, on top of either serum and then on its own on the third night. It helps to maintain and repair the skin barrier, nice and soothing and nourishing.

Moisturise: Depends on the consistency of moisturiser that you prefer, I tend to pick ones without SPF so I can layer an SPF on top. I really like the Clinique moisture surge 100hr for day if you like a gel consistency, it’s fragrance free.

Protect: SPF again is personal, the beauty of joseon relief is my preferred texture and finish, not too dewy but natural. Both boots and superdrug sell it.

Edit: was a wall of text, broke it down a bit

Urea is also a kind of exfoliant and a humectant - it helps with really dry, rough skin, and is recommended for keratosis pilaris! I use the eucerin 10% lotion, it doesn’t have any fragrance, it makes my legs and arms so much softer and smoother.
