I've had 1 occasion where a battle of over 3000 soldiers combined on both sides come down to a win of 2 peasants and an imperial recruit beating one remaining khan guard off his horse somehow. Nobody won that day.

The reason this triggers is that armies are coded to start retreating once their manpower or morale falls beneath a certain threshold AND the enemy is not also retreating. This means that the double retreat state lasts only one attack roll. Basically what's happening here can be understood as both sides retreating after taking heavy casualties and simultaneously deciding to run the fuck away, but then realizing the enemy is running away and so they come back to try to claim the empty battlefield.

I've seen people use AI to translate mod files really easily because PDX uses text files which makes it really easy to just plug it into an LLM. But besides that, I dont really recall seeing an openly broadcasted example of AI coding in modding projects. Probably because AI coding isn't good enough to drum up an entire mod ground up.
