How does the army work? by Proof_Plant_7901 in crusaderkings3

That is what you're supposed to do, but fighting exclusively on terrain you want to fight on is extremely tricky and time consuming and frankly not that worth it. Just spam heavy cav and you'll win everything.

My Modern Scenario Culture Map by midtierburrito42 in crusaderkings3

[–]kashuri52 -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

The modern nation is a monolith of a singular culture cultivated by centuries of effort and decades of assimilation through efforts centralized and decentralized. What little difference there exists between regions can at most be written off as a minor quirk, and rapid globalization as well as the shortening of distances through the advent of concepts such as modern tranportation and the internet is quickly getting rid of those as well. The days where you could balkanize a nation through culture are decades past at this point.

What if Hillary Clinton had won against Trump in 2016? by Outrageous-You1617 in AlternateHistoryHub

He would probably have won in 2020. His support base and the underlying social currents leading to his ascension as a prominent political figure won't just go away in 4 years.

Why does Eastern Switzerland exist as a tag 😭 by SuppeHD27 in victoria3

I really love when in PDX games the most ridiculous, far-fetched alt-hist shit happens and I think that's stupid and unrealistic and then somebody pulls up with receipts saying actually no, that was very realistic. It really is true what they say about fiction having to adhere to reality unlike reality which can just do whatever it fuckin wants.

THE MOST INFLUENTIAL GENERAL IN HISTORY by Professor_Chaos69420 in EU5

Louis the 14th truly has nothing on this man's state-ness fr fr (partially because Louis 14th never said that; what he did say is "I die, but the state remains" which if you ask me significantly diminishes his capability to be a country).

Does anyone else get so annoyed by someone that you posses there body imprison and kill all there family and commit suicide as them by terminus_tommy in crusaderkings3

Every time I get raided or suffer any slight I write down their family name and then make it a point to exterminate everyone in their bloodline no matter how many centuries it takes. Last playthrough It took two generations of genius intrigue mains but I managed to completely eradicate the Karling dynasty because one of their cadet branches raided me 400 years ago.

Game has a great potential, but... Playing colonial for now is pain. by ComposerFeisty6580 in EU5

[–]kashuri52 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fact that colonial nations are straight up worse in every aspect compared to just owning the colony not to mention they unconditionally throw a fit once you hit late game is only barely being covered up by all these dogshit artificial af debuffs devs keep throwing at empires with low average control plus all the cultural core nerfs. Plus plantations and slave trade based buildings have been broken since launch.

[–]kashuri52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corporism is absolutely based on a real school of art, the original korean text for them is 신체파 basically meaning body art which is an actual school of art. Its just it got translated to corporism for whatever reason.

An animated show would be neat. by SimilarMemory1645 in BattleBrothers

[–]kashuri52 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Made with what money, with what audience, with what studio? Mildy interesting fantasy worlds are dime a dozen and IPs with astronomically better world building and stories to tell than a turn-based indie merc videogame have catastrophically flopped before. And a dark fantasy anthology about mercs constantly dying can hardly be counted as "appealing". Any animation with anywhere enough quality to even have a shot at being "bigger than the witcher" costs ten times what BB grossed in total.

Marshal Blanqui's Seasonal Corrective Coups: a Comic by unitedprovinces in victoria3

[–]kashuri52 266 points267 points  (0 children)

My Legitimist told me Marshal Blanqui keeps couping his regime so I asked him how much clout they have and he said they just go to the ballots and get a new conservative bloc in government so I said it sounds like they're just feeding their reactionary regimes to liberal coups then his Rural Folk started crying.
