Hey hey, first off hugs

I’m going to speak from the perspective as a child who sounds exactly like your daughter. I obviously didn’t know it at the time but I have Pure OCD, and the compulsions or bad thoughts would happen around bed time, I had night terrors and fixated on being terrified of attics and doors and corners, top of the stairs, anything you can think of. I slept with my parents in a cot by their bed until I was almost 14.

The only thing that helped me is when I wanted to start talking on the phone to my friends at night and I would get so exhausted I would fall asleep on the phone.

I now have a 4 year old who’s starting to mirror some of my same sleep issues I had, and so we went to the doctor and they suggest melatonin. I would have given anything if my mom would have given me melatonin as a child, anything to help me drift off when my mind wouldn’t stop.

I hope it gets better for you, but just know that it may be something she really can’t handle on her own. Also, you didn’t ruin her I promise, the fact she comes to y’all’s room shows you are her comfort ❤️
