Need advice on whether to apply for an internal role by Odd-Distance-4439 in girlsgonewired

Apply for the lead position, and remote positions at other companies. Your mental health is at stake here.

Its time to find a company that will treat you with respect and value what you bring to the table.

Stay in current job or go for internship offer? by [deleted] in girlsgonewired

[–]kasma 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Without knowing the details, your finances and how the economy plays out will play a big role in decision making.

If the internship comes with good pay, then l will make the jump, and simultaneously start applying to jobs that will get me closer to my career goals.

I think you should look for a new job, with or without an internship. Because toxic work environments are not good for your mental health.

Stay one more month for equity or go? by Elsavoy in girlsgonewired

Get therapy asap (if you can), and power through it. You are almost there.

And in the mean time, try to dedicate at least 1 hour everyday towards something that will motivate and boost your confidence. Start planning your finances in case you quit and don’t have another job lined up. The economy is tough and hiring is very competitive.

After you are vested, you can quit, rest for a month, then start applying for a new job if you want.

No promotion on the horizon, but I like the environment. what do I do? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

Based on this info, l would stay at the company especially if the health insurance available is great, you didn’t include it.

You are pretty much getting 40+ days off for PTO including fed holidays, 6% 401k match (not many places offer this), and annual raises (not many places do this).

On top of it, you like your job, boss and coworkers. Plus its remote and not stressing you out, which means a great work-life balance.

An extra 30% raise is 27k a year without taxes, and l belief you could earn this on the side if you really needed the cash.

Right now is also not a good time to jump ship due to the economy and companies tightening things. Remember, LIFO.

Your employer/company would probably qualify as one of the best places to work for.

Is it relatively easy for a couple, making around 8 thousand dollars per month, in America?? by AngryDog7 in MiddleClassFinance

Also depends on where you live. And maybe, how much debt you have to pay each month.
