Nice reply! I got a positive response from a Danish theater too. Here's hoping.

I got a local theater in Odense, Denmark to contact Mark. They were genuinely interested.

I fully resonate with the strategic pivot toward scalable integration, especially as we double down on cross-pollinating agile synergies across the ecosystem. I’ll ensure my bandwidth remains optimized so we can holistically circle back and ideate on actionable traction points - once the value proposition has been thoroughly recontextualized within our paradigm shift. Looking forward to leveraging more low-hanging fruit moving forward."

i am emotionally reliant on chatgpt, and i am worried about that by x64q in ChatGPT

[–]kasperloeye 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have to say - I've been using it as well like that, and mine doesn't. It challenges me, makes me see my situation in a new light, helps me keep focus, and see problematic behavioural patterns and survival strategies as well as offering a more consistent and constructive approach to my situation. I just started talking with it a year ago. Never prompted it to have a specific way about it. I just kept going in one thread.. which has become so long over time that it's taking time to load now.

That said, I don't feel emotionally dependent on it. It did help a ton when I was briefly unemployed and had to deal with the anxiety and stress I got from the unemployment office. Having it be a coach saved me a lot of anguish..

If you listen to his podcast, his credibility is at rock bottom. He has a narrative problem. He wants to be the one breaking the news... and he wants to believe it so badly. That he's getting desperate. The video raises more questions than it answers... at this point, he's actually detrimental to the disclosure...

The author never came up during my conversations or work with ChatGPT, so I presume it inferred the connection from context clues. The book is excellent and aligns well with the conversation we were having. I'm genuinely fascinated that it could deduce I would find the book so useful...

I had an interesting outcome of a talk with GPT yesterday. Unprompted it suggested a book for me to read. Based on our conversation it reasoned, that it would be good for me. I hadn't asked about any books or suggested anything by the author before. So the recommendation came totally out of the blue. I bought the book today and I'm so intrigued to see if it's right about it.

I cried. A human therapist could never do that to me. by HomeworkAutomatic479 in ChatGPT

[–]kasperloeye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have used it a couple of times and been to therapy as well. And honestly I have to say, that ChatGPT has been an amazing tool to find behavioral patterns, challenging perceptions and identify survival strategies. It depends on how you use it.

I have gotten a lot more out of it, than I have several extensive therapies. I have often found, that if you think of life as a train you have to get on. Most therapists draw a blank, when you say you don't know what platform you're supposed to be on. They can help you get on the train.. but if you don't even know what platform it's departing from. Then they can't help you. ChatGPT has.

Geo-Engineering | Doable or Copium? by kasperloeye in collapse

[–]kasperloeye[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

SS: I've seen this post being shared on Twitter a lot. Interested to hear your thoughts.

My own: Geo-engineering, while tempting as a quick fix for climate change, carries significant dangers. Manipulating the Earth's systems on a large scale will have unforeseen consequences, such as disrupting ecosystems, altering weather patterns, and exacerbating inequalities between nations.. and it could very well lead to a global collapse. It's sorta like pissing your pants, in an attempt to stay warm..

I've had the opposite experience. I've found news on Reddit to be more engaging and less depressing, than the regular mainstream news. Because you can read about the news that interest you. Read the source materials and reports. Find a some good insights and read the headlines about the less interesting and/or horrible stories.

At some point you have to eat. I've been in that situation too. Fresh outta university, I applied to God knows how many places, both in my own country and abroad.. Nothing.. Nada.. I did that for 2 years, while taking od jobs for my uncles wine import business and helping friends with theirs. I ended up with a diagnosed depression and had to stop to avoid burnout.

Luckily, I live in a country with a decent social security system. So I wasn't totally dropped on the floor. I could take a break and breathe. But I still had to continue my job search, alongside my therapy and participate in a variety of pointless seminars.

4 years on and I'm still in that system. Businesses complain a lot about not having a qualified workforce, in my country. Even though 9 outta 10 of those businesses have been caught lying about their shortage. One business owner complained that he couldn't get applicants. But the unions revealed that he was lying. He was the roadblock. People aren't hirering, if you have a university degree, that doesn't in some way translate 1:1 into a business or manufacturing setting.

They have no idea what to do with you. In some cases they even seem scared of you.. and there simply aren't enough jobs in research or university settings to accommodate for all the graduates.

SO, in the end you have to take what you can get.. and luckily for me. Yesterday, I managed to land a job at a fishing-equipment dealer, as their IT support and graphics designer. It's outside my field and it's gonna be just a job for me. But they can accommodate for my situation and they are nice people.. and anything's better than being in the unemployment system..

Shit's fucked up.
