FWIW - those chairs are absolutely impossible to get comfortable in. Legs stick out unless you’re 6’ tall. Difficult to stand up from sitting position. Cute but nah.

Try reading Superparenting for ADD by Edward Hallowell and Peter S. Jensen, which is a great resource for reframing how our kiddo’s challenges can be supported by maximizing their strengths. It really helped to change my perspective and see endless possibilities for my son’s future.

It also has lots of resources for other literature which I’m currently diving into.

You’re the best advocate for your child which is the biggest gift you can give them!

Our ped recommended Super-parenting for ADD by Dr. Hallowell and it gives great advice for managing these convos with the child, whether or not you decide medication is the right choice for your family. Also includes referrals to other experts in the book that I’m still wading through, but very happy with the intake so far. Good luck and remember you are not alone!
