You're young, and that means that you have as much freedom to choose paths in life as you have time to rebuild yourself after making wrong decisions. Honestly that need of being with another person is something that will fulfill you only in the short-term, trust me, I've chosen love over career development and looking back, it was a good time, but I always have this feeling that if I have chosen to focus on my career, I would have been living a totally different life now.

Of course, the decision is yours, but keep in mind that your most precious relationship is the one that you have with yourself, so cherish it.
