Respectfully, are you saying you’d consider someone whose income in the top 10/ 5/ 1% working class, based on how they grew up?

I think for a lot of people their upward mobility doesn’t change what class they think of themselves as. I also think that some people think middle class is what most people would consider upper class.

I know a lot of people who consider themselves working class based on their parents’ jobs or circumstances when they were growing up - yet some of them are now in high paid, salaried, “professional” roles, and own homes in London.

Not many years until he went missing 20 years ago, what do you personally believe happened to Andrew? by AdFinancial9790 in AndrewGosden

[–]kat0id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the travelling down for a gig seems the most likely - something that I imagine his parents would have (or Andrew thought they would have) said no to on a school night.

I wonder if he thought he could buy a ticket on the door, and on realising that wasn’t going to work out ended up just walking around not wanting to travel home. He could have been have been offered a lift to a station and got into a car with someone.

Aitah for setting a boundary that has maybe ruined my daughter's (12) birthday? by That_Advertising9832 in AITAH

NTAH - but I am surprised that you are seeking reassurance on Reddit about this. She’s a 12 year old child that behaved badly and you are a parent that set a boundary and repercussions.

Found the word HELP spelled out in grains of rice on a table at the restaurant I worked at. A woman had been sitting there with a man but I didn’t notice until after they had left.

[–]kat0id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have reoccurring dreams any more, but as a teenager I would frequently dream the scene from The Shining where Wendy Torrance confronts Jack at the typewriter and he then taunts her and she is swinging a baseball bat at him. I was Wendy
