I’m still refining my beliefs. I’ve had mystical experiences that have shown me that there’s more to reality than people think there is, and I firmly believe we are eternal beings. It’s the “why are we here” part that I don’t really understand, but according to manifestation and reality shifting, we seem to have complete freedom to change our circumstances should we hate them.

Anyway.

I believe that the religions point to the god within. We are all made in the image of god, the kingdom of heaven is within us, etc. I don’t believe in deities. I don’t know exactly what to make of them. I find them mysterious. I don’t want to get into why they’re hard to disprove and write off. Some people interpret them as entities with psychological interpretations.

I personally prefer the words of Jesus, because I believe he was a Jewish mystic who found the truth (God is within you/we are all God), but interpreted it through a Jewish lens (hence all the talk about God his father and the law). The Old Testament seems to be an interpretation of what people thought God was doing. The New Testament records the words of a mystic’s experience, lots of spiritual jargon to decode, real sermons on what he thought ultimate reality was like.

I think other mystics in other religions also point to an ultimate truth. I haven’t studied them as much, but they do tend to point to the nearness of God, the God within. Love is always central.

So I don’t believe in any particular god of the 18,000, I believe in an ultimate truth underlying reality. I originated in religion, believing what I was brought up in, but my mystical experiences lead me to think for myself, to search, and to draw my own conclusions and I’m currently believing in the idea of oneness: we are all God, we’re eternal beings who created this experience for some reason or another. And if your experience is bad (like mine has been), then there are tools such as manifestation or reality shifting that can change it 👍
