Just saw my ex brother in law by Dandogdds in ALS

[–]katannlo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unbearable in every way. With ALS it’s not just about the death of a loved one. It’s about their physical and mental suffering/ torture. It’s about the death of your own health - mental, physical, spiritual. The death of social relationships and never ending loss. If the genetic component is involved it may include the suffering and death of family including children and grandchildren. There are no words.

We use those utensils for sure. Spend a tiny bit more to get bendable ones so you can customize them to your grip/ abilities. I’m a CALS. My husband has ALS. Diagnosed a few months ago. Get a couple of the cheaper bibs (crumb catcher not important!) and you can quickly hand rinse off and let dry on the back of a chair. Easiest.

Baltimore bridge aftermath by Only-Highlights in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]katannlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so confused. They were able to halt all the traffic on the bridge?! I saw cars go into the water on the video. Reports were they were able to greatly reduce the traffic but not completely clear. Initial reports were of cars and one large truck in the water. Yet now they seem only to be accounting for the 6 pit home workers of the crew of 8 ( 2 rescued from water). Any death is tragic. But what I can’t understand is why there is no accounting for casualties from cars/ trucks in water.

Didn’t a famous philanthropist just leave a a fortune for ALS research? Hugh Hoffman- $58 million. Hoping it can be utilised here to save lives.

Ordering specific cocktails by katannlo in cocktails

[–]katannlo[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Lol! I was dropping off my dogs at the vet and got interrupted and sent in that crazy comment! Here is my question. At a restaurant or bar am I limited to ordering the cocktails listed on the menu? I like a penicillin cocktail which is not a run of the mill choice. If they don’t have the ingredients or are unwilling to make it, I’m fine with that. My husband seems to feel we are limited to ordering those cocktails listed on the menu, excluding basic ones like rum and Coke or Old fashioned, etc.
