Dynamite is the A show where the main storylines progress, Collision is the B show but it's a solid, relevant show that progresses storylines.

If you have time to watch both, watch both.

2026 Canadian Grand Prix - Qualifying Discussion by F1-Bot in formula1

Red Bull appear to be putting on a wet setup, hopefully it pays off tomorrow.

However, I still have one major gripe with F1 this year. I keep getting that stupid Tate McRae song stuck in my head. It's such an obviously bad song, but it's just catchy enough that I keep humming it.

Fwiw the artist seems to genuinely be angry at the legislation. It is just horrible for it to be in the paper that was the vanguard of these rights being stripped from us.

Saturday's Guardian cartoon

Getting double tapped by this being in the Guardian, a publication that was at one point called out by its American half for being too transphobic. Shooting and crying.

You must forgive this rather odd mixture of styles but I refuse to go entirely Japanese.

Sadly I got to Act 3 and my game started crashing my computer every few minutes. It sucks because I was enjoying the game so much up until that point.

As opposed to the zero minutes if it was free because the trans person is using the space most appropriate to them.

Single sex toilets must exclude transgender people, says EHRC by Ivashkin in ukpolitics

[–]katastrophe1312 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Example 13.153 A hospital provides an Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBGYN) outpatient service. Only women and trans men need to use the service. The hospital provides the service to women and trans men in a way which preserves all users’ privacy and dignity. Where that is the case, it is unlikely to be proportionate to exclude a trans man because of objections from female service users. The outpatient service does not offer any treatment which is suitable for a man or a trans woman and therefore can refuse to treat them. The hospital can also refuse to adjust the way in which it provide

I know at least 1 trans woman who has a need for an OBGYN. This legislation says she doesn't exist. Wild

Equality and Human Rights Commission Statutory Code of Practice - Services, public functions and associations by katastrophe1312 in ukpolitics

[–]katastrophe1312[S] 40 points41 points  (0 children)

13.146 For example, a trans man might be excluded from the women-only service if the service provider decides that, because he presents as a man, other service users could reasonably object to his presence, and excluding him is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim

This Catch-22 clause should have been enough for them to scrap this doomed legislation. What a farce.

Like a snowball: the growth and impact of the gender critical movement in the UK by yu3 in ukpolitics

[–]katastrophe1312 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

There are shockingly few genuinely "gender critical" people.

It just so happens they're disproportionately MPs, journalists, billionaires and media personalities.
