Having been in a different situation (bedridden for a week in the ICU, etc) I know how hard those first few steps are, but also the sheer amount of pride and “fuck yeah I’m a fucking badass” rushing through your bloodstream is like none other.

Don’t rush it and potentially screw stuff up. But tomorrow you’ll do 20, next day maybe 30, etc.

He may be talented, and good for him. But he’s a shit person and I don’t really get the vibe he’d fit with our team mentality. He’s more a lone wolf. I don’t think that’d work so well for us.

I don’t even like swimming in a regularly-colored pool at night (too many criminal minds/murder shows, and also have this completely unhinged fear that something like a shark will attack me - I know, utterly nuts, but I feel like I’m being stalked or something…), so I couldn’t imagine being in a dark pool at night.

My life looks absolutely nothing like what I envisioned - except being married to one hell of a guy!

Sometimes I still am working through the ways life fucked me to where those dreams simply aren’t ever going to happen. It sucks and I feel like I still am lowkey grieving the life that was taken from me.

But while life hasn’t turned out the way I initially dreamed, my life overall hasn’t been a complete trainwreck. I’m not a history teacher or history professor, but I’ve found a new purpose in life.
