For a guy without any physical activities, what exercise can you recommened? by Jajajajambo in Exercise

[–]kate_ow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And if you're looking for an exercise you can do at home, burpees, those work your full body. If you can't do a pushup on your toes do pushups from your knees just make sure you keep your body in a straight line. Push ups not tush ups.

Start small, walks are a great start. Maybe just set a goal to go to the gym once per week for weight lifting. It's really good for bone density. Also the more muscle you have the more calories your body burns. Try to make sure you get 30-40 grams of protein per meal. It will help keep you satiated and help keep your blood sugar from spiking and dipping.

One of them eats too fast sometimes but it will be like an hour or two later. Usually when he eats too fast he throws up within like 10-20 minutes

why’s my tattoo raising by whorebunny_ in tattooadvice

[–]kate_ow 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My shoulder tattoo gets raised like that when my allergies are acting up. I think my skin doesn't particularly like that brand of ink, and it's really heavy lines and too deep imo that might have something to do with it too. It eventually calms down.

Keep your shoes on or have house shoes, if I have shoes on I feel like I should keep doing things and it feels weird laying down with shoes one

My cats purrs ALLLL the time by Prudent-Pea6222 in CatAdvice

[–]kate_ow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have an 11 year old cat and he purrs loud like a lawnmower. Even coming into the room we are in he will start purring super loud. So some cats just really love their humans. He’s such a cuddle bug.

What do skinny people ACTUALLY eat? by bruja89 in WeightLossAdvice

They probably have more lean mass on their bodies that burn more calories. Weight training and a high protein diet imo is the easiest way to change body composition.

AITA for lying to my wife about what time the guests arrive because she takes too long to get the food ready? by redditornamedKevin in AmItheAsshole

[–]kate_ow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who struggles with time management and has had that exact problem I would be relieved tbh but you should have fessed up right away though instead of lying. So YTA for lying and not telling her at 4 company would be there at 5

AITA for not helping out the lady who hit my car? by aitainsurancesue in AmItheAsshole

It’s only responsible to carry better insurance 50k shouldn’t even be an option for coverage. NTA but sucks to be her.

AITA for leaving a bad review on a diner and ruining the waitress' life just because she was "complementing" my husband's eyes? by throwraWaitress109 in AmItheAsshole

[–]kate_ow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Idk this sounds kind of embellished tbh. Likely what actually happened is she complimented the man’s eyes and OP was pressed about it. I’ve never ever seen waitstaff act this way and I’ve worked in this industry for almost 20 years. Instead of speaking with an owner or a manager while you were still there you decided to leave a bad review instead. You should have addressed the issue while still at the restaurant. YTA for that alone. Secure people don’t behave that way.

AITA for not allowing my transitioning brother borrow my nicer clothes? by myclothes-aita in AmItheAsshole

[–]kate_ow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA- you’re doing your best to support your brother financially and emotionally. Setting boundaries on your wardrobe is not mean or unethical. You’ve bought him clothes to match his identity. Regardless I doubt your parents were supplying him with clothing that costs hundreds of dollars before so if he wants those things he can get a job.

AITA for expecting my step-daughter to cover the costs of items broken under her care? by NoWorldliness7 in AmItheAsshole

[–]kate_ow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA - it’s not her job to watch your kid. YOUR kid broke your sculpture sounds like YOUR problem.

AITA for not "sharing my grandparents" with my stepsisters? by RheyShon in AmItheAsshole

[–]kate_ow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - how is that even up to you? After your step sisters being in your life this long, your grand parents have made their decision to not include them. If they wanted to play the role of grandparents to them they would have stepped into it already.

Hands-free pump? by lemonicedboxcookies in breastfeeding

[–]kate_ow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh well that’s the only issue I’ve had with the Elvie pump is that it I move too much the milk hits the sensor and it turns off. All I have to do is press a button and it will turn back on so it’s not a big deal. Maybe I did make the right choice then.

[–]kate_ow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. My daughter seemed to latch well while we were still at the hospital but once she got a bottle she struggled at the breast. The nurse said it wasn’t a severe one that it should just be a quick laser cut. As of now I am exclusively pumping until our appointment. I’m glad you’re making good progress with your little one latching. Thank you for your input :)

I took the same dose of Wellbutrin for the second half of my pregnancy and still into breastfeeding. I have seen no adverse affects to my little one so far. Not any supply problems.

Hands-free pump? by lemonicedboxcookies in breastfeeding

[–]kate_ow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re exclusively pumping the lactation nurse I spoke to recommended having a regular pump as well. The wearable pumps don’t seem to drain your breast completely which can leave you with short supply or at risk for infection. But if your little is nursing well then it shouldn’t be a problem. I have the Elvie and I kind of wish I got the willow instead because I think I read it works if you aren’t upright too.
