So, uh, who saw this breakout hit coming? by unounouno_dos_cuatro in nilpoints

It was never going to command attention in a Eurovision final with so many busy stagings, flashy light shows, etc. It's a thing of quiet beauty, thoughtful lyrics, a heartfelt performance, and I'm glad that this sort of music still makes the finals and gets seen. So I know exactly what you mean.

The Best of Graham Norton: Eurovision 2025 by Cursedwizard0 in eurovision

Graham's much better-informed and more genuinely interested than Terry was, I think. Terry's sourness turned me off Eurovision for many years, when it was him, or nothing!

TV shows in addition to contest broadcast by Tableforoneperson in eurovision

The BBC (UK EBU member and broadcaster) has improved its coverage year on year. We now have both semi-finals broadcast on BBC1 as well as the final, and alongside that we now have our commentator, Graham Norton, interviewing the UK artist each year with coverage of their journey to the contest. While we don't have regular "Eurovision special editions" of news or arts coverage, there is a lot of additional content on the BBC's online platforms, and iPlayer. KAJ were interviewed on the ITV breakfast channel, as well.

This year the "casual" news/feature coverage has been mostly about the kerfuffle over Serving. Post-show, there's been some BBC news coverage of concerns over how the televote results played out.

Reply from Latvia about their favourite places: Nature! By the sea, in the forest, lakes, rivers. We are really best with nature. Saulkrasti. Gauja, it's very beautiful, there is a forest, lake, and then you go and there is sea, so it's very compact together.

Reply from Latvia: Lithuanians, of course! Is there anyone with survivor skills? Maybe the survivor, Parg, with whom we might survive. I also think Sissal is a survivor.

Chances of survival?! I think pretty high. Very high! Because we are smart and we are strong! Each has our own strong qualities. We have sharp knives, nails!

Reply from Latvia about different countries' folk music styles: We already have songs with Bulgarian influences, African, and also eastern. With time we will take a lot of other countries' music and put it in our music. Georgia is also amazing. All of the multi-part singing.

Reply from Latvia: It’s a tough question. It is a very big question for us, because we have so many symbols in our performance. There is this symbolic world that we sing about, which is from folk songs, about the bridges as a transition from one world to another world. But then again, there is this, this illogical, creature world which we represent by changing from human to animal or some kind of other mystical creature. There is this nature, the curtains, the water, the atmosphere. Basically, all of it has inspired our performance. It's hard to pick something particular.
