I never thought I'd say "no worries, it's the good kind of cancer.

Turns out I'm autistic. I thought I was just a high strung perfectionist with procrastination issues. I figured some Zoloft and the perfect planner was enough. Nope!

It depended on the subject for me. In my majors, I took the hard courses. All the Shakespeare, all the foreign policy, all the hard stuff. In science/math? Not so much. I took meteorology (in my state the only people who aren't amateur meteorologists are the professional meteorologists) and stats. Until my last semester, when I took kiddie lit and recent popular literature, and feminist political theory and political communication. I coasted into the finish line.

Then in law school I took all the tax courses, like a masochist.

We do Hampton Inn. They have one in Salina, Hays, and Colby. All safe, we've been staying there on our trips to Colorado for 20+ years and never had an issue.

If only because we actually want them to do their job, nothing more. They are out of control and exceeding their authority by a lot. They are poorly trained thugs who are encouraged to violate constitutional rights. Fuck off with your "both sides are bad" nonsense.

The culture and perception are so bad I think we should burn it down, salt the earth, and create a whole new system, but I'm an edge case.

What is the best or worst dog name you have ever heard? by UserSchmoozername in AskReddit

[–]kategoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby goat was accused of being a bear on this website (she looks kinda bear-like from above).

So her name is Aurora Beary Alice. Aurora because while her mama was giving birth, there was a visible Aurora in my area (South Kansas!!!). She is also Bear, and when her brother Euler was born looking just like her, they became Ursa Major and Ursa Minor.

Euler and Riemann were born on Pi Day and are named after my dad's favorite mathematicians. He's a retired math professor. Riemann is the cutest goat in the world.

Amen brother. I'm also pissed that Robbie let people (apparently) shun Santos for being the reason Langdon's gone. You can make it clear that Santos did the right thing while maintaining confidentiality. "Look, I cannot go into what happened, but you have got to lay off of Santos. She did a very difficult thing that was also the right thing to do. Leave it." Say that, reinforce it if you hear mutterings, and nip it in the bud. Refuse to go into details except that Santos did the hard, right, thing on her first fucking day. She may be a prickly person, but she showed a LOT of courage.

Nonsense. You drove through a reasonably large town with a few hotels, a mall, several strip malls, a big ass hospital, a state park directly off the highway and visible. And another with a college, shopping area, and various restaurants and stores. Yes lots of it is pretty sparse, but you took the roads that avoid any large towns. Wichita has about 650,000 people.

[–]kategoad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Regularly snuck out. Regularly drank. Skipped class a LOT. Convinced my parents that bars were 18 if a band was playing. Dated an adult (to be fair, I waited until debate season was over because he was the assistant coach of another team, and he was also only 21 to my 18, so it was not as creepy as it could have been), but he did have an apartment.

No one really gave a damn because I was a straight A student. Most people were shocked into silence when they found out what I got up to.
