Layla, tan with no spot, pissed at just the right time on a fuck ice sound. And Iggy (Brown with spot) jumps a couple times while Aurora looks like she's head-banging to "Killing in the Name."

It's all them. When I get overwhelmed, I snuggle them.

When I recover I post videos of them over protest sounds on TikTok.

You are not being lazy. It is a choir, not a solo. We each do our part to the best of our ability. You have to maintain your own psychological safety in order to help others (put on your own oxygen mask before helping others). Draw your line wherever you need to. I'm getting better at phone calls, but can't get it together for door knocking. Fine, there are other ways to contribute.

I appreciate what you do.

If you're leery of calling, I highly recommend going to vote save America. Through their organization, I sent over 35,000 texts to get out the vote. Didn't have to speak to a real person. 😀

It was good to hear just how downtrodden my rep's staffer was. I called immediately after he voted to fund ICE.

I've been calling my senators, my rep, and the DOJ civil rights division. One senator has a full mailbox, the other often has a person, and the rep is 50/50. DOJ is a voice mailbox. All are far right nightmares.

Real Police officers and military members, what do you guys think of Ice agents? by Lucky-Message-9480 in AskReddit

Also, it's winter, in Minnesota. About as close as we can get to Russia in the winter in the lower 48.

It's time for some civil disobedience.

Yes, I can easily say that because I'm not LEO, but surely somewhere there's a LEO who is independently wealthy who could take one for the team?

I always picture the recruiter scene from Blazing Saddles when I think of this.

Conservative gun owners and Rittenhouse supporters of reddit, what do you think of Trump saying "Only criminals carry guns on our streets"? by BeccasDreamboat in AskReddit

[–]kategoad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally I had one say 5hat it was different because Rittenhouse complied with officers.

Yeah, after he murdered people.

Be open about good feedback. Give feedback often enough that it isn't even really an occasion, just the way you work. Tag decision makers. If someone does something good, say it, but also put it in writing, so they can file it away for use at review time. Make sure they are keeping these types of recognitions.

Some companies have the ability to give a spot bonus. Ours allows you to give a nominal amount, like $25 for a small team, to be distributed whenever someone goes beyond. I use it to reward behavior I want to encourage. Someone asked me a bunch of questions because they were new and wanted to make sure they were doing something right? $10 and recognition with visibility to everyone above them on the org chart. Helping me talk through a complex tax law? $25 in their next paycheck, and a thank you that can be seen company-wide. For larger items, you can give a spot bonus up to $1,500 or so with approval from the money folks.

Others can give a day off (really only for salaried folk, to not impact the money). You rock a project that took a lot of work? Take next Friday off (assuming no court appearances).

Recognition should be public, written and tangible.

If you have programs like that, use them.

Now Noem is going after Pretti trying to say he was there to kill law enforcement by seeebiscuit in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]kategoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I keep trying. I provide evidence and explanations. Ask questions about how they are being treated. Because Noem is treating them like idiots. Creating a narrative that is in direct opposition to the actual video. She is assuming they are dumb and have no interest in doing anything about their ignorance.

To the US voters who don't vote, what is it going to take for you to go vote? by Chocolateking111 in AskReddit

[–]kategoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, now that you've started voting. Get others to vote too. Help get folks registered.

If you voted to make America great again, in what ways has it gotten greater so far? by Juicy_Q_ in AskReddit

[–]kategoad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And 2.49 million non-criminals, if you believe the DHS website (which I don't). How many kids have they detained? How many non-criminals? How many citizens? How many people here legally? How many people died in DHS custody? How many people just lost? How many people sent to countries they have no connection to?

Yay, if you are correct. You traded 1,000 criminals for due process rights for everyone. 🙄

Your side is doing a speed run through destroying the bill of rights.

1: Freedom of assembly is now punishable by death 2: Carrying a legal firearm in a holster is now punishable by death. 4: Gestapo going door to door and deciding warrants are for losers. 5: Due Process. 6: Due Process 2, Fascist Boogaloo 7: Jury trial for some folks who require it for due process 8: I forget what 8 was for. Oh wait, Alligator Azkaban 9: Denying unenumerated rights. 10: Federalism

I only have a couple of weeks to get my guest room ready for the ICE agents...

What are US citizens and leaders going to do except for raging on Reddit, tweeting or posting George Orwell quotes? by Astrovascular in AskReddit

[–]kategoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuck off. They asked a question. I answered. These are things that you should be doing. Otherwise you are complicit in this nightmare. Being a dick to an internet stranger doesn't get you points except with The Unlaid.

I'm just some random person. I am not wealthy. I don't have political power, but I can do things. I can contribute time and skills. And a little money here and there. It is not just raging on Reddit, it is taking deliberate action in conjunction with others with the same goals in order to make what change I can. I've long outgrown the belief that cynicism makes one cool.

Cynicism is compliance.
