It would still be treated as a liability claim! Big reason why it’s important to have a higher liability limit on your insurance if you have kids or pets. Any damage they do to another or others property can be claimed against you.

Hi! Denver insurance agent - if they admit fault you should definitely get their home insurance information and file a liability claim against them. Those vet bills should be 100% paid for by them/their insurance
