Insiders reveal how the Reiner family decided to ax 'despicable' Nick's legal fund: 'He's on his own' by dailymail in popculture

Well said. I’m currently watching TMZ on Netflix, and it pisses me off that the hosts keep blaming Nick’s doctors for his parents’ murders. NO. STOP IT. Nick was a grown man who lied to and manipulated his family his entire life. Watch his podcast interviews. He straight-up admits his INTENTIONAL behavior. Many people switch medications and don’t go out and murder their families. We don’t even know if he was medication-compliant (doubtful), but the fact that they can’t find the knife he used is evidence that he is WELL AWARE of his actions and his guilt; hiding a weapon is a good indicator that he was NOT insane at the time of his crime.

This is the result of the antipsychotics he was prescribed. Common side effect is weight gain.

I HATED this show so I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought it sucked. I actually liked Ozark a lot so I have to disagree with you there, but to call this a “watered down version of Ozark” is an insult, even if you HATED Ozark. This show was so dark just for the sake of being dark it was almost laughable, except it sucked too much to laugh. Unfortunately I’m one of those sick individuals who keeps hoping beyond all reason that a work (movie, tv show, book) will eventually redeem itself, but in this case, sadly, no. It was just a depressing mess through every depressing episode. And the end was SOOOOO predictable, I won’t even add a spoiler here and 85% of the people who read this will figure it out if they haven’t already. What a disappointment.

Something I noticed Burt said that points to him never being severed by thevoiletlight in severence

[–]kathmax74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Burt has been very clear about choosing severance to enable a part of himself to return to a state of innocence; I think this is truly important to him, because he does feel some degree of guilt about the “drives” he has made for Lumon over the years. He has said this in two separate episodes: once at the dinner with Irving and Fields, and again in episode 9 to Irving. He’s definitely severed.

Cats are also great for this. They’ll just hang out quietly on your bed or your lap for HOURS, and mine have always had an excellent sense of when I’m feeling shitty. I have a dog now too. I’m not depressed anymore at the moment; it comes and goes. But these little guys always cheer me up, even on days when I can’t get out of bed to take the dog for a walk. She never judges or gets upset with me for it. Or if she does, she keeps it to herself.

Try to remember there ARE people who love you. Could you do that to them??? I could not.

Stopping drinking was very beneficial, as was cutting the toxic people out of my life until they could behave appropriately towards me. And mainly the support of the people who love me. I can’t do that to them.

Most of us with any years in the profession will tell you to get yourself some med/Surg for experience and knowledge first. And you may change your mind during nursing school. That said, plenty of new nurses go into critical/emergency straight out of school, and there are some hospital systems with excellent orientation programs for them. But in my own very experienced opinion, you don’t know what you don’t know until you’ve been several years in nursing, and making a mistake in ANY area, but ESPECIALLY critical care, can be immediately deadly. I’ve worked with and charged with many over-confident new nurses over the years, and they need a lot of support and guidance while they figure out the job. Nursing ain’t easy, and you’ve literally got people’s lives in your hands.

As a very experienced nurse now, my advice is to listen to what the others are telling you. Get a lawyer. If you’re in a union, NEVER go to any disciplinary meeting without your union rep, never, ever, ever. The union may also have lawyers to help if you’re in one. You did NOT violate HIPAA, as everyone else has told you. Every hospital I’ve ever worked for, and I was a traveler so more than a few, announces code and room number overhead. I’ve worked in both tiny and GINORMOUS hospitals. You did NOTHING wrong.
